This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

At the moment with the newest v2.2, I can click esc to close Cartographer. However there are still other problems.

1. Can't right click to zoom out.

2. Can't click right/left to go to the adjacent zone.

id dosent work propably @ addons page out of date how is could be ? its the new version 3.0.2 ?

I can't get the instances to show, if I'm in say Org I can't click to the left and go to Durotar, I have to use the options to see Durotar and right click doesn't work either. Just to be clear, I have each Cartographer folder separate in the Addons folder.

Any good reason why the "default" modules were removed from inside the main addon folder? Was this due to 3.0 changes or some such?

Is Cart going to update cause im having the same issues these other peeps are having-- I would like the waypoint arrow back and the zoom in/out again... *Crosses Fingers theres an update soon*

I cant seem to get cartographer to do anything but show the map. I cant zoom out, or change zones. I cant create waypoints.

hello!

I used to use cosmos for my waypoint addon, but they're officially done for. I used metamap for a while, but i haven't seen any updates for it since the patch. I have heard cartographer is quite good from many friends, but i have NO idea how to use it!

Most importantly, i desperately want to be able to make a waypoint. I frequently use websites like thottbot and allakhazam, which heavily use coords. If i cannot just punch them into a console or window and expect the addon to lead me there, i am completely lost. I have downloaded this and it's already installed and everything, i just would like to know how to make a waypoint. Any help i could get with this would be greatly apprecaited, thanks!!!

yeah. thats a really odd bug...
I freakin need my maps to be uncovered, along with the levels for each zone ><

hopefully by later tonight this'll be fixed

It haves one small problem. That being u cant zoom out on right click. Beside that this addon is fine. You need to just give the author time to fix it.

Version 2.2 still does not correct the right-click zoom out. We will just have to wait until then.

Errors/problems I see:
- right-click to zoom out
- waypoint arrow not working
- QuestHelper still shows ant trail/locations, so it isn't a total loss
