This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

Only cartographer itself is working.. everything else is red in the addons. preferences is almost empty and i cant see all of the map anymore when i am playing an alt that does not know the complete map yet

Yeah ... can't zoom in/out or change zones ... actually clicking doesn't work at all.

Also I get an error in POI.

v.2.2 don't say any errors, but just like anyone else.. even i can't right click a map and change a zones.

tbh. Cart3 is weird and it's not look good... it's hard to use too.

So.. please, make v.2.3 - and we all hope that, than it will work at this time. :)

Originally when I put Cartographer-V2.2 in the AddOns Folder of my Mac Intel Core duo, I did not see Cartographer in the AddOns Window of WOW. I experimented by 1st removing this folder from AddOns. Then I selected all of the info in the V2.2 folder and put everything into the WOW AddOns Folder. Now all the folders show up in the WOW AddOns Window, with everything being out of date except for the Cartographer Folder, so I clicked load all out of date info (note that I don't use very many downloads so it's somewhat easier for me to experiment). The Maps now look like they use to, except I cannot zoom out (as some people have previously reported). I also cannot see any instances. Not sure why the folder layout causing a problem. The only sub-folder in the Cartographer folder is "libs". Not sure where to go from here?

everything seems to be working with mine apart from i cant look at instance maps. anybody else having this problem?

I just wanted to say, thank you for all the hard work you've put into cartographer. It is so very helpful, and I didn't even realize I was taking it for granted until now that I can't use it. I tried Cart 3.0, it was just not my thing.

The problem I am having is the same or similar to everyone else, cannot right click to zoom in or out. Also cannot change zones. Worst of all it seemed to be interfering with Quest Helper, preventing it from working correctly. After uninstalling Cart, QH worked fine again.

Again, thank you for all your hard work, I love Cartographer and look forward to it being in proper working order sometime soon. :)

now that i have finally got all my ad on's reloaded. Once i log in and go to the Addons to double check their up-to-date ness I noticed that Cartorapher is up to date but all the other things that come with it are out of date i.e. cartographer (waypoints, professions, POI's) etc. etc.

I will load them all anyway but was curious if the rest of the addon was going to get updated.

And if u were wondering, yes i did delete everything in AddOns folder and all .lua's from the WTF folder.

I also have the 'can't zoom out' issue. Other than that it's working fine. I've had to disable Cartographer_POI for QH to work but other than that it's fine.

For now I'm using mapster, It seems to work in conjunction with Questhelper with no problems it gets rid of the Fog of War, and also has cords and works pretty well. You can scale it etc. Has all the functions i liked in cartographer with half the resources taken. On a side note it doesn't have instance maps.
