This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

that's becomes those modules were discontinued months ago, the author made gathermate instead, install gathermate and gathermate_data off of this site and you'll be good to go.

It doesn't seem the professions mods are working. While mining or herbing nodes in Northrend, I'm not seeing any marks left on my maps.

I get this any time i change cartographer quests settings, not sure if the bug is in librock, cartographer_quotes or cartographer, I just know that quests hasn't been updated in months, BUT, the error only started appearing with a recent cartographer update, it previous worked in 3.0.3 client without issues so the change that broke it must have been in a more re cent librock or cartographer.

Right-clicks and clicks on the map don't work - you can't zoom out nor switch zones by clicking.

umm when i hit the download from curse link.....curse doesnt seem to have most recent version. are they just being abnormally slow with it or what? is there anywhere else i can download it?

I'm having an issue with Instance Maps with Northend - in previous instance maps there would be bosses listed with percentage rates of what various items that particular boss dropped. In the Northend instance maps, only one map shows bosses - Naxxramas - all the other ones are blank. Is this just because Cartographer hasn't been updated yet on the other bosses? Or a random glitch?

I just disabled Foglight, and the maps unexplored zones seem to appear the way they normally do.

Regarding Foglight, given the Explore Achievements, can anyone give me the Foglight settings that will equal the WoW map settings that will cover up the unexplored areas?

Howdy all, hey a good combo is Cartographer and Gatherer (http://gathereraddon.com/). It will track all professions for you and dig this little notice:
We are happy to announce that an agreement has been reached between us, here at Norganna's AddOns, and the folks at WoWInterface and Wowhead, who will provide much of the Gatherer node data for the GathererDB.
This should take care of all our needs.

cartographer doesn't work in the pvp-zone ''Tausenwinter'' it doesnt show the map and all second in 1k-winter it's a error on the screen <.< that sucks!!

I don't know if this has ever been suggested to add to Cartographer, but one thing that I would really enjoy seeing on this addon would be a tracing function so that I could draw and save my mining/herbing path.

Waypoints now not working in Dalaran. Appear fine elsewhere, but the arrow just vanishes/won't load in Dalaran.

When i'm in Dalaran it doesn't show up on the map, i've downloaded this one and v2.3.6 and it still wont show me where i am. And the new pvp Strand of the Ancients doesn't come up either. What version do i have to download for this to work, or what do i have to do for it to work? please respond!!!

Have you downloaded the latest file? I had some trouble with the right clicking myself, downloaded the latest file and it was nice. These informational mods are going to be very inaccurate for the next 6 months of wrath i can tell, hopefully it'll be a smooth transition like BC was.

here's a couple of problems im having:

1. i cant right click a map to go to the zone map, to navigate. perhaps this is intended.

2. my group members do not show up on the map.

3. in battlegrounds, my raid group does not show up on the map, but DOES show up on the mini (shift-m) map.

any tips/tricks?
