This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

Also...Anybody having an error coming up everytime it starts saying something about Babble 2.2 or something like that?

Ok this cartographer seems to be working fine even the minimap icon prob is fixed now but i had modded Cartographer_Questinfo and Cartographer_Quests to work with 2.2 but now it doesnt work. Any body know wat to change to get it working again. Ive become so dependent on it. Ive tried alternatives and just dont like them lol

Nvm fixed it lol..just had to make a change to the Cartographer_Note toc file...prob gonna have to change it when bliz fixes the LoD problem lol

unless i'm missing something, the map is no longer showing the 'Zone Info'. I.e. the level of the zone and the instances within them. help pls :)

Ok verified these errors, zoom in and out is not working ie right click to zoom out and left click to zoom in.

Also the map to eastern plaguelands were lights hope chapel is needs updating for the new changes to the terrain

I've tried using both Cartographer v2.3.1 and Cartographer 3 and I don't see coordinates for either version. Is there something I'm supposed to do to turn on the coordinates?

When I first open cart I get this error using 2.3.1, but other then that everything seems to be working again for now, thanks a lot for updating the best addon out there.

Download gatherer from their site along with the database. You will be able to import every node of gathering that has ever been found. All right on your minimap and/or world map.

Those are easy to replace, however the quest modules that I've come to enjoy have not been updated yet. Currently using doublewide and lightheaded to quest with. Carbonite quest has an option to show where you need to go exactly on their map, but I generally dislike Carbonite which is why I went to Cartographer a couple years ago. But unfortunately ckknight has pursued a direction in something it seems quite a few of us do not like, nor want. Carbonite.

Perhaps an option of showing original type maps or to not show the new google earth type maps in cart3 would solve all these issues. Also in patch 3.0.3(hopefully before) maybe the quest part of cartographer will be good to go. Left click in quest log what you need to collect and it goes to your map and where quests start and end. That is mainly why I stuck with cart2 for so long. I don't need a waypoint arrow telling me where to go and what to do next, so questhelper isn't something I'm interested in.

Herbalism and Mining are plugin parts for Cartographer.
Just wait until someone fixes them after Cartographer is 100% again.
Or use one of the many alternatives if you really need it.
There are plenty of databases with collected game info as well.

Those addons are from different authors and have been abandoned for a very long time. Use GatherMate instead.

What happened to all the herbalism and mining nodes that I have taken years to collect? My maps are totally blank and while herbing last night, the nodes I was hitting didn't even save onto my map. The link I had saved to Cartographer_Herbalism and Cartographer_Mining no longer work. Please help! :D

I might be addon challenged but when i install cartographer it said dependency missing then next to it, it said (cartographer 3) so i installed
cartographer 3 click load out of date addons. cartographer and cartographer 3.0v0.10.2 are a gold color and everything else that says cartographer is red am i missing something? or does "instance pois" "notes""waypoints" ect out of date

oh i also found out since i was running vista my addons are in
C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns

i also delete the WTF folder not to sure what or where the cartographer 'account' database is
