This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

This is broken because LoadOnDemad does not function properly in the current patch.

To fix, edit Cartographer_Notes\Cartographer_Notes.toc to read:
## LoadOnDemand: 0

And edit Cartographer_QuestInfo\Cartographer_QuestInfo.toc to read (only lines to be modified are shown):
## Interface: 30000
## RequiredDeps: Cartographer, Cartographer_Notes
## OptionalDeps: Cartographer_Quests, Cartographer_QuestObjectives, LibQuixote-2.0, LibGratuity-3.0

Unfortunately I cannot package new revisions for Carto Quests, and the fix in Carto will hopefully be obsolete with Blizzard's next client patch, therefore I choose not to put that in SVN (LoadOnDemand 0).

If any version of Cartographer needs to be discontinued, it is NOT this one. Your new experimental Cartographer 3.0 is just not the Cartographer that the fans have gotten used to. The new one is full of bugs, and complicated. Not to mention, the configuration menus will not load, and the waypoint system that acts with Questhelper does not work properly. I don't want to have to go through 50 settings just to figure out a new addon. Please continue THIS version here. I don't have allot of technical knowledge. This is just a humble opinion that your new version is just really a pain to manage.

Please keep comments helpfull and constructive. Try the latest alpha of this addon from wowace and see if it works for you. Please post any ewrrors you get and we will try to fix them. Thank you for your patience. I personally hope Ckknight will either make a new release from the alpha version soon or appoint someone else to do it for him.

I have enjoyed the benefits Cartographer has provided me from the first moment I installed it. If you decide to end it's development, I can surely understand, though I do hope you'll keep it going!

Thanks for all the hoard work everyone, Im still having one issue. There were two different quest addons for cartographer. One remembered quests you did and saved the information (this is not the one im curious about.) The other one is http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info9020-Cartographer_QuestInfo.html. Is there anyway we can get his updated. I dont care about the database even as much right now I just really miss the look of the quest log.

Ok retraction of my other comment, dident see that my Curse client did update another addone, wich was the actualy one that did the load bug.

Which was FuBar 3.5

You really think blizz wd let addon authors steal account details or whatever your worried about?

Woah dude, a little defensive are we? I'm not saying that it is for sure a keylogger or virus or whatever, I'm just distrustful of random people's links. I've had my my xfire account stolen once from carelessly downloading a link, and so I learn from that. Curse, WoWUI, WoWAce, etc are sites that I can trust; sites from some random dude are not.
