Cartographer 3.0

Table of Contents

This is a map addon for World of Warcraft that replaces the map and offers shiny features.

The idea is for it to work very much like Google Maps, only in-game.

Cartographer 3.0 is brand new, "experimental" version of Cartographer.

Personally I love it! I've been using this for months with no problems before 3.0.2.

It obviously has a few issues right now, so I wouldn't dismiss it based on the last few days. I'm sure they are working on it and will have it fully functional soon.

Then decide how you like it!

I can't get into the options. Every time I do I get a Lua error about null options. Is there a way to manually edit some configuration file to turn this on? It's driving me batty.

You go in to the Foglight section of the preferences and turn all of that back up. You'll also need to move the color shaders over. I find that a dark orange with the 50% transparency set gets it looking like the old version.

Great new features. Looks very promising.

But one thing - the undiscovered areas on the maps that on Cartographer 2.0 were slightly shaded are now gone as if I had explored everything, which I have not.

Hey nice update!!Good to see something new!It definately needs some getting used to but look very promising!

A few bugs as for now though:
-Cant open configuration.
-Waypoints dont show on the map itself.
-No waypoint arrows load when waypoint is set.

Keep up the good work!After this all thats left is a 3D map :O

Patch 3.0, one issue I have:
World PvP Objectives for Halaa, flight waypoints, aren't showing.
Haven't done any other PvP, so can't comment.

was just in an AB and the map was REALLY buggy in there. WSG seemed fine, dunno if it's just AB or what.

i can't open the config menu at all. other than that it will take some getting used to over the simplistic 2.0, but hey gotta work with what we're given.

Hi, love the update. A few minor issues that I've noticed, any feedback on if it's me or the mod would be great.

1. In Darnassus, if zoomed in to far the map turns blue, and stay blue until you zoom out to a certain point.

2. When using a waypoint, once the target is reaached the numbers at the top of the screeen don't clear.

Looks like a fun mod, but when I tried to set a waypoint on the map, wow closed out and sent an error report. I'm sure that's less than helpful, but it's all I know lol

This mod seems to work just fine, however, whenever I have it installed and running, Parrot doesn't work.

Will post similarly about this in Parrot's comments.

I like this mod quite a bit. The only thing I don't have anymore that I would like back is the map locations of flight paths, vendors, trainers, etc. Not sure if this is something I broke or if its not in this addon.

As someone who knows how to zoom and use an interactive map, this addon is excellent. I loved the detailed zoom as well as its compatibility to work with Gatherer and Quest Helper. The only issue I am having at the moment is the Config options are not working and the ability to see terrain detail no longer works. I know the last update was two days ago but do we know when a new update will be coming?
