Cartographer 3.0

Table of Contents

This is a map addon for World of Warcraft that replaces the map and offers shiny features.

The idea is for it to work very much like Google Maps, only in-game.

Cartographer 3.0 is brand new, "experimental" version of Cartographer.

Same here, this versions is for WoW 3.1... Will there be an update for 3.2 soon?

Rather mundane problem im having. At some stage i've dragged the edges of this mod off my screen and its driving me up the wall. Ive deleted the saved variables entry's and still no dice. Where does Cart 3.0 Store the information relevant to its configuration?

ditto, when in certain instances, like violet hold it's really bad, other instances like hol it's fine

So. i'm having a problem with Cartographer and Carbonite. All i know is i get the "BLAH!" message thing. Anyway to get rid of it? Or fix it or something?

for the BLAH! message....

Go into Options -> Interface -> AddOns -> Cartographer3
Click the ‘+’ button
Select ‘Advanced’
Check ‘Separate Cartographer3 from the World Map’
This appears to resolve the conflict
Note: You’ll need to make a key binding to open up the Cart map.

ok, so I'm new to this game, and curse, and don't know if this is common practice, but I opened the LUA from 0.10.3 and 0.11.1 and on line 439 of 0.11.1's LUA, ck added a "self" to the line where as in 0.10.3 it's not there, so I removed it and reloaded. Notes work fine now.

Mkay, I tried to get help from Questhelper, don't know if they can help me or not, so I'll try asking here....

Updated Questhelper from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4, and now my ant trails and quest objectives no longer show up on Cartographer. They do show up on AlphaMap, so I don't think it's Questhelper that's not working.

What can I do to get my ant trails and quest objectives to show up in Cartographer again? They worked just fine till I updated =( I just love Cartographer, and I don't wanna stop using it....can anyone help?

There is currently a problem with the mapnotes module when you attempt to place a new note now while it still opens the window there is not button to allow placement of the note on the map and in order to close the window you have to reload your Ui.

hey, like the addon but is there anyways to keep the arrow on the screen even when you arrived that the waypoint like for quests? annoys me when i get there and have to keep going to the map to see what all i still have in the area to do.

I'm having a similar prob with "notes" for this addon. This is the error I'm getting. I have even tried disabling all addons except for this addon. Still it refuse's to close the note. Then it will freeze WoW and I have to do a hard reset.

interface\addons\cartographer3_notes\Notes.lua:attempt to index local "iconData'(a nil value)'

Any help with this would be most appreciated

Is there a page somewhere with specific instructions on use? Or slash commands? Or a Forum that is regularly posted to and responded to? Or is everything configured only through the Addons Menu? Not clear about how to re-access Cart3 if the "Separate from WoW Map" check box is enabled. Is there any way to switch between the two?
