This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

Do you only have this problem with Cartographer2?

Please disable all other addons except those included in this package, then test the issue. If the issue persists, please post on the bug tracker:

Is the addon showing up as "Out of Date" and you're using Windows Vista?

"The addon directory seems to have been moved for people on Vista. Apparently it's in "C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft". If you update plugins in the old directory, it just plain won't notice! At all! And you'll get errors. Update it in the new location."

I have tried Cartographer many times, and it never comes up for me. I now have the latest in my AddOns folder, and it's enabled when I log in. However, when I go to the map, I only get the regular WoW maps. What am I doing wrong?
I have deleted the WTF folder, the AddOns folder etc. but to no avail.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hello, my problem is , when i open map , i saw my party's people are on really different places, someones in sea, somes other maps, but when i zoom out to big world map then click to my place , i saw their place if they with me in same map, after that i dont get any info about the other players, they are only standing on same place..
and also now, my friend logged out and im still seeing him in map

Do you and other party members use the latest version of Cartographer2? Libtourist was fixed for the map changes in WotLK in r61 (included with 2.3.2)

If not please make a ticket on the wowace bugtracker. Please?

I'm sorry but I am unable to reproduce that error with the information given. Unless you give me more information there's nothing I can do to fix it for you. My best guess is that you have a large notes database and not a lot of ram memory in your computer. You can try to backup your WTF folder and rename it to see if it helps.

This can happen while in flight when you switch zones. This is a built in behaviour of WoW, you can disable it somewhere in the standard options panel.

One annoying thing is that when i check around on the map on different places it sometimes swaps back to the place I am at

on Madoran server when i go: "m" and then Cartographer for the options/controls all the tabs are there with the exception of the one controlling Foglight. All the other tabs/features are working fine with no problems.
I made 8 chars on 8 different servers to see if the problem persists and Foglight worked no problems on the other 8, as well i made a new char on Mado but Foglight did not work!
As for what i see on Madoran:

I play in Madoran server and Cartographer is not working properly! The Cartographer_Foglight is not working what so ever on the server am on, i made a few chars on random ones and it was fine there. Except Foglight all the other functions work properly!

Could you please give some more information about the troubles you're having with foglight? What do you see? what happens? Is it only on one realm?

The addons in the current versions are not named "Good-". Either I did not understand or you're not using an official version.

Did you make sure that the tick box is checked for the addon "Cartographer [Foglight]" when pressing the button "Addons" in the character select screen? (Please also notice the "Configure addons for:" dropdown menu atop the "Addon List" window).

If the problem persists please make a ticket through the ticket system, it's hard to keep track for me otherwise.

Should be fixed now in LibTourist-3.0 r61 (Thanks Ckknight!) which is included in latest version of Cartographer. Please confirm :)

a small bug.. on the azeroth map, guild positions are off because the coordinates changed with the addition of northrend. so the EK and Kalimdor are shorter now :)
