BuffEnough is a personal buff monitor that answers the simple question 'Am I buff enough?' If you're like me, when a raid leader does a ready check, you go through a mental checklist as you look over your buffs and gear, to make sure that you really are ready. Did I remember to do my own buff, do I have all pally blessings, do I have the correct pet out, am I still flasked/elixired, is my durability okay, did I forget to take off my riding crop, etc, etc.
This is what BuffEnough does for you. It scans the raid to figure out what you should have, and then scans your buffs and gear to figure out what you do have. If the box is green, the answer is 'yes', you're buff enough. If the box is red or yellow, then you're still missing something and hovering your mouse over the box will tell you what it is in the tooltip.
/be or /buffenough - brings up the command line list
/be config - brings up the config UI (can also be accessed by Blizzard's interface options)
When playing on my prot warrior, it's always telling me that defensive stance is unexpected, and that I'm missing comm shout if i'm using battle shout. This is whether I'm grouped or not. Is there a way I can set this so that it prefers defensive stance and comm shout when in a group, and be green for any stance and any shout when soloing?
Shouts and stances are determined by two different things. If you're a prot warrior, it will tell you that it expects commanding shout, but it should actually be satisfied with either shout as long as you're not grouped with a paladin that can provide BoM. It'll complain about defensive stance specifically within the context of who's set up on oRA2 tank targets: if you're a tank, it'll yell at you if you DON'T have defensive stance, if you're not, it'll yell at you if you DO. You can specify custom overrides for either of these behaviors if it doesn't suit your typical group makeup or solo play style.
What ISN'T provided by BuffEnough but probably should be, is the ability to set your custom preferences based on whether you're solo, grouped, or in a raid. That's on my to do list. In the meantime, you can use the profile functionality to set up those profiles yourself and simply switch between them as needed.
Any thought to adding Scroll buffs? One of my other favorite buff mods I use for entire raid buff checking is RaidBuffStatus, which recently added Scroll buffs.
You know for those times when you don't have a Holy Priest talented with the Spirit buff, and if you applied a Scroll of Spirit to yourself, it would give you a bit extra.
Hi Nickodemus. First off, excellent work. Thanks for the time you put into this.
I'm a huge fan of DebuffEnough, and I was wondering if you could add similar features to BuffEnough. Specifically, I like the ability to create debuff groups so I can easily see if a certain debuff "type" is covered at any given time. For example, I can quickly glance up at my DebuffEnough window and see that the Major Armor Reduction debuff type is taken care of on the current mob.
I'd love to have something like this for BuffEnough, except it would obviously apply to me. For instance, I'd like to be able to look at a concise window and see that my Agility and Strength buff (either Horn of Winter or Strength of Earth Totem) is active. Currently, I can only add those two buffs to the BuffEnough options, and if I don't have both, then my window shows up red. Obviously the window should be green if *either* of those two are up.
Hopefully, I'm making sense. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my comment. Thanks again for your work.
Yep, that makes sense. I've contemplated something like what DebuffEnough does for buffs that don't stack, but it's always been pushed down to the bottom of the list primarily because 95% of cases seem to work just fine without any other consideration. It's only for a few cases, like the one you mentioned, where it doesn't quite work how you'd expect. Then the issue becomes whether or not to hack in some special cases, or spend the effort to rework the whole thing for those few cases, or just shine it on some more and continue to think about it (guess which one I've picked so far ;).
Thanks for your comment and suggestion. I'll definitely keep it on my radar.
Inventory items (mana gems, healthstones, reagents, ammo, etc) is something on my list to consider. Buffs placed on other people (Focus Magic, Vigilance, Bacon of Light, etc) is out of the scope of BuffEnough, though, I think.
The aspect change is working great now thanks. However I did notice today in Naxx that the old BC agil elixir and the new WotLK agil elixirs both did not register properly as battle elixirs- I had both of them applied at some point and both times it gave me an error that no battle elixir was on- my BC mageblood guardian elixir seemed to register properly however.

Any chance to include mana gems conjured by mages? Oh and well as target buffs such as Focus Magic please? :D :)
