Description

Broker Hittable is a LDB data source that is primarily meant for tanks. It provides a text display of your character's total avoidance (miss, dodge and parry) and a detailed Hittable in a tooltip.

Features

• Calculates a hittable for auto attacks from a NPC (mob) against your character
• Works for any character class and level
• User-definable mob level
• Level of current target overrides default level setting (optional)
• Update frequency is throttled at a definable interval to improve performance
• When determining which defensive abilties your character can use, it takes into account:
  • If the character has learned it (parry and block have to be trained)
  • If the character meets the equipment requirements (melee weapon, shield)
  • Disarm effects like Disarm and Dismantle
  • Stuns
• Can be toggled to assume the enemy mob is dual-wielding, increasing its miss chance

Usage

Install it like any other addon. In order to display the data, you will additionaly need a Data Broker display, personally I use DockingStation. A list of most available displays can be found here.

You can disable (and reenable) the addon by right-clicking the datafeed, so it won't use any CPU cycles, and toggle the dual-wield setting by left-clicking.

The configuration can be found on the Blizzard addon configuration panel.

Calculations

The calculations done by the addon are based on the derivation work by Whitetooth and a few articles I found on [[htp://www.wowwiki.com|WoWWiki]], and should be fairly correct in most situations. The following data is used to get the results:

• Character's base defense and defense skill from gear
• Diminishing returns, dual-wield malus and the Night Elf racial for miss chance
• All talents, gear and buffs/debuffs that change the chance to dodge, parry or block
• Resilence and the druid talent Survival of the Fittest for crit reduction
