Broker_Portals

Table of Contents

Why would you have actionbars filled with portals, or open your spellbook everytime you cast a portal? Just right click on icon or minimap button and you can access all portals so comfortably.

It is designed as DataBroker plug-in, that lets you access all portal and teleport spells from one spot. Addon will be attached to minimap by default, but if you want to move/customize it, you will have to install additional addon like TitanPanel, HidingBar, or Bazooka and there are many more.

Features:

All mage portals, hearthstone and teleporting items available from simple dropdown menu
Minimap button, so you don't have to install any additional addon
Hearthstone location and cooldown in tooltip
Reagent count in tooltip (for Cataclusm Classic)
If hearthstone is on cooldown, Scroll of Recall will be used instead if possible
Can announce, that you're casting a portal

Localization:

If you'd like to add/update localizations, do so here. Then leave a comment on WowAce or on Curse as I'm checking those more often than localization app itself, and I'll repack it.

FAQ:

I managed to hide my minimap icon, how do I turn it on again?
- Just simply type "/portals".
Does it support teleportation items like engineering teleports or Kirin Tor rings?
- Yes.

could you add a line break between portal types? (e.g. my 7 teleports, line break, my 7 portals.)

Nneuromancer: You could change the spells to macros directly in the source code, if you're familiar with Lua.

Will Download this lar when I get home. Question: can I change te portals to macros I made for them?

I made them up so that if casting self it says I'm off to xx, and if grop it will say in group here we go to xx. and ofcorse I don't see the right one being cast (from a brain fart) the intrupt it and get the righ one!

So Teleport:Dalaran will remain on my actionbars.. however all the others are neatly sorted next to my minimap - thanks to your Broker_Portals. Should suffice for now :).

Thank you for making my actionbars cleaner :).

But I've got one item on my wish-list: a default portal/teleport. In most cases, I right-click the minimap button just to chose Dalaran portal; if this is not the case, it mostly is Dalaran teleport. Could you add an option "default if button is left-clicked"? That would allow me to bind it to Port:Dala, while still giving access to all other portals/teleports without hassle.

Hey, CrazyBenny, is there a way I could remove the hover list? It overlaps with the dropdown and is quite annoying - I need to move my mouse away and then back.

Basiclife: As written in description, the only command is /portals for reseting minimap button. The left click to cast is kinda tricky, I already tried it myself and even got a patch from some othe guy in the past, but I never got a solution working as I'd like. SO I'm afraid this wont happen.

Hi, When I right-click, I get the list of portsals/teleports/etc... and the most recently selected one shows in the minimap icon, however, left-clicking at this point does nothing. Should this re-cast the most recent one?

If not, may I suggest it as a feature?

Also, some simple documentation of command lines (if any) would be shiny :)

Lastly, if you;re using left-click for most recent spell, an option to lock the minimap icon..

I know it's asking a lot and you're doing this for the hell of it but please do consider the above

Thanks for a really handy addon - you've saved me 8 actionbar slots (and numerous trips to my spell book!)

(To clarify - I meant left-clicking the minimap icon after the teleport/portal is complete and list of portals is no longer visible)

It would be possible, but it wouldnt be usable in combat. And seriously, clicking on dropwdown, then selecting spell and then sheeping someone? Sounds like attending RC cars race with monster truck ;)

Hello again!

As I can't seem to find what I'm looking for among the existing add-ons, do you think it would be possible to adapt Broker Portals so as to make a very simple drop-down menu from which to chose one of the many polymorph spells available? it could save some action bar slots...

is there anyway we could get the tool tip bar to open with a shift click or something. Everytime I stick my mouse over the icon tooltips comes up and covers the portals toolbar. Its just a little annoying but just a suggestion. Something that I think could improve it, but fine with if you can't change it
