Fubar_ChannelWatchFu remade for Broker/Libwho-2.0/Ace3

Broker_ChannelWatch watches channels you are in and creates a tooltip with the players currently in each channel. You can select which channels you want to watch.

Click options:

Player line:

click = whisper
shift-click = who
alt-click = invite

Channel line:

right click = quit watching channel

After updating to the new version, there isn't showing anything in the Fubar dropdown list. My bugsack has captured 2 errors:

Hi,

I've just installed ChannelWatch (v1.96 with libs) and I can see the channels and the number of members in it in the docking station bar but there is no tooltip created when I hover over it. The tooltip option for ChannelWatch was not disabled inside docking station and ChannelWatch seems to be the only ldb addon that doesn't show his tooltip.

That problem appears to be a problem of wholib as you will notice all who functions quit working when that happens. It may be fixed in newest release so I will update so it is included.

I'd like to return to a problem reported by Estorion somewhat further down. This issue still exists for me. Here is a quote from Estorion:

"For an indefinite time it works fine and refreshs the channel.
But then it seams that the /who query is full and no refresh is done."

I cannot clearly reproduce it, but I have a feeling that it might start to lock up once there are users joining a channel in short order, so that the deliberate pause after which a who query is answered might not have passed before the second (or more) queries are sent. They go in the queue and seem to get stuck there somehow.

No, I mean 4000. It's a guild based off the listeners and fans of a WoW-related Podcast called The Instance.

It's so large evidently that they have a problem seeing all of their members through the default Blizzard UI and it apparently doesn't armory correctly either.

Well, I ask because between this and ChannelWatchFu (which I had been using until a lot of addons switched to WhoLib 2.0) had this. It's about the only thing Broker ChannelWatch lacks IMO to make it pretty much perfect.

I monitor a number of different custom channels I'm in, and they average about 10-20 people in each. So yeah, the tooltip gets quite big. Another person I've been speaking to runs a guild with about 4000 people in it- enough that they have a custom channel set up for LFG.

They'd like to be able to look at the channel listing, and a scrolling function would probably help a lot in that regard.

4000 is the population of a small server lol

Hmmm I don't think the tooltip library I am using supports a scrolling tip but I will look into it. You have alot of friends lol...

Any chance the tooltip can have a scrolling function on it?

As it is right now I can't add all the channels I'd like to, because if I do, I can't see the whole tooltip, and it also repositions itself to cover the data feed in an attempt to fit the screen.

you are missing the externals when running nolib,
this makes Curseclient fail when you try to use it with externals set to alternate.

How do you know the addon is 30 MB and are you sure it doesn't start as 30 MB? Maybe it is the first ace3 mod to load and thus you see the libraries in it as well.

I´m watching 3 - 4 channel depends on the char.
Two are small ones with 3 or 4 chars in it, one with 5 - 10 chars and the last one with around 10 chars.
