BetterPowerBarAlt
The button in the Ultraxion and Madness of Deathwing encounters is not the same as the power bars in previous raids! This addon will do nothing for those. Luckily I do have another addon (BetterExtraActionButton) for moving that button :p
Makes the PlayerPowerBarAlt frame movable. This is the frame for quests and instance encounters that show a power bar specific to the event. This includes sound on Atramedes, corruption on Cho'gall, Lord Rhyolith's direction, and feathers on Alysrazor as well as the counter and timer bar used in Dark Moon Faire games.
There is no config. Right click on the frame to make it movable, then drag it to where you want and right click again to lock it in place. While it is unlocked, you can also use your mouse wheel over the frame to adjust it's scale and reset it back to its default scale by pressing the middle mouse button.
You can toggle showing the status text by holding shift and left clicking on the frame. By default the status text will show when mousing over the bar.
To adjust it outside of a raid encounter, you can type /bpba toggle
and it will show a fake bar so you can set it up how you like it.
If you find the frame some place it shouldn't be, you can type /bpba reset
to move it to the center of screen.
And if you find yourself accidentally clicking on it all the time, you can type /bpba lock
to make it ignore clicks.
A quick note: Unit frame addons like to disable the bar (to show on your player frame), so if you're not seeing it, that's more than likely why.

maybe at mouseover or optional always visible at a certain level.
Is this bar present once you've completed the quest chain through the Maw of Madness? I see no bar like this when in there.
::: And if not, is there another location to test this?
It will still show up (I tested it on chars that have all finished the maw quest chain), try flying all the way down and dismounting, it can be touchy sometimes.
It decided to work immediately when I headed back out several hours later. /shrug
Thanks, looking forward to testing it on bosses.
You can reset the position so you can move it with:
/run PlayerPowerBarAlt:ClearAllPoints() PlayerPowerBarAlt:SetPoint("CENTER")
or by going to the character's WTF directory and removing the "Frame: PlayerPowerBarAlt" entry from layout-local.txt
We killed him again last night, so it'll take a while till I can try out this addon, but thanks in advance anyway! Saves me the hassle of writing up this change on my own :P
