FAQ
Q: I cannot move/drag my skills on my bars?
A: Hold Shift to move skills safely. You can also unlock your bars in the Bartender4 options, but using Shift is safer and recommended.
Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bartender) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.
Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: Bartender4 buttons should automatically inherit keybindings from the Blizzard bars. For new keybindings, you can use KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!
Q: Can I skin the buttons beyond the built-in options?
A: Bartender4 allows skinning through Masque! After installing both Bartender4 and Masque, you can customize the BT4 appearance in the Masque options.
Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

strange i tried this yesterday and it did not work. Now its working fine, thanks!!

The alpha version is still having issues. I've tested it on the Beta and tested it less than a few minutes ago and am still having issues. There are taint issues with various functions in and out of combat with the bar loaded. Icons that flash or are highlighted are messed up graphically. Disabling the addon makes these issues go away, so it's definitely issues with Bartender.
In reply to mkong409:
Well yeah there are issues, it's an alpha version. But it still works a little bit.

To fix the glowing issues, you need the alpha version of the LibButtonGlow library, from here:

Great addon. Would be also nice if the XP/Rep bar had more options similar to the other bars to change background colors and such and more resizing customizations.
Would it be possible to include the extra action button in the buttons to skin by Masque pls?
Hello. Any plans for Shadowlans beta? It's uncomfortable to play without your addon. :( Thnx
In reply to whawk:
Yeah it's broken because of the error on line 158 onwards in bar.lua.
Interface\AddOns\Bartender4\Bar.lua:158: attempt to call method 'SetBackdrop' (a nil value)
[string "@Interface\AddOns\Bartender4\Bar.lua"]:158: in function `Create'
in 9.0 frames no longer provide Backdrop related APIs by default . They need to be opted-in by either inheriting
BackdropTemplate
or includingBackdropTemplateMixin
and its associated script handlers. i could write a fix but i am busy with university summer work atm. Hopefully the author will fix it soon :)There is one bar in the middle of the screen that shows up on some quests and in some raids that can't be edited/moved with Bartender. Like f.ex. the quest Flush Them Out.
can we get an option to hide Artefaktpower on Status Tracking Bar ? or a Seperated Reputation Bar?
Will there be a version that works on Beta in the near future, or will you not be ready unill closer to pre patch?
Fucking sucks, why can't you move the sanity bar???? just add that option easy.
In reply to Forge_User_02918619:
Not speaking for the developer of this add-on but just as a fan... I would guess that controlling the insanity bar would be more appropriate for an add-on like MoveAnything (although I don't think that has been updated in awhile... so maybe something similar).
Not that Bartender couldn't do it... but as a information panel that seems to only be for 1 patch of 1 expansion, it would probably be out of scope and not something the dev would necessarily do.
Again, that is just my opinion and I do not speak for the dev.

Make a macro that says:
#showtooltip
/startattack
/cast [stance:0/1/2/3] !Moonkin Form;
/cast Moonfire
That'll enter Moonkin Form if you're not in it and Moonfire if you are. Can sub Moonfire out for another spell in the bottom line.
Hi,
i'm using bartender since i started playing again, and i'm wondering if there is a possibility to configure bar that keep the same button when i switch spec?
like i switch spec but the bar where i put all my profession and hearthstone don't change?
thk for the hard work really like this addon
In reply to Forge_User_25998444:
I second this request. I actually came to this page to make this same comment. I have a few pars with toys, emote macros, mounts etc. and would like those bars to persist regardless of spec, or even character if possible. It would be nice to have them in sync so that when I make a change, the change will stay no matter what spec or character I change to.
The Auto-Assist Casting is not working for me. Anyone else having this issue?
