FAQ
Q: I cannot move/drag my skills on my bars?
A: Hold Shift to move skills safely. You can also unlock your bars in the Bartender4 options, but using Shift is safer and recommended.
Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bartender) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.
Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: Bartender4 buttons should automatically inherit keybindings from the Blizzard bars. For new keybindings, you can use KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!
Q: Can I skin the buttons beyond the built-in options?
A: Bartender4 allows skinning through Masque! After installing both Bartender4 and Masque, you can customize the BT4 appearance in the Masque options.
Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

is there any way to stop bartender from casting abilities when i click on them to drag them somewhere else on my bar? im aware it's the "toggle actions on key press" option, but i dont want to disable it, i prefer that to be on for general gameplay, just not when im trying to rearrange stuff on my bars
playing on wrath classic version, if that matters
In reply to XboxControllerTV:
It's not an issue with bartender, it's an issue with WoW itself. There used to be an option to control whether spells activated on the down press or the release of a key but they hid that option. You need to use a script command to change the setting.
Use this in your wow chat window to make spells activate on key release again:
/console ActionButtonUseKeyDown 0
Use this if you want to change it back to spells activate on key press:
/console ActionButtonUseKeyDown 1

thats not really what im asking, also bartender has an option to control that in its own settings.
I am so frustrated with Bartender4 right now. I still have stuff I need to get done in game but with all the new stuff that was updated TOO SOON, it is bugging stuff out and I cannot SEE my keybindings anymore. They are hidden and I need to be able to see them. Trying to reset them is locked even, so they cannot be changed either. Why was this update released before the 25th?
After the 10-18-22 Dragonflight Beta update, now get this error when clicking on a flyout with Bartender
enabled.

Bartender was the only addon enabled. With it off, no errors.

Blizzard broke the Spell Flyouts for addons, and they need to fix it. There is unfortunately no way to work around that for the time being.
Hello! I hope you are still working on Bartender for Dragonflight. It will absolutely still be needed! The new WoW actionbar configuration is... vastly inferior.
I tried running the current Bartender in Dragonflight's beta... it worked, but the bar scaling was off (and the keybinding text was super small). Also, there were lua error popups
beta bug: the "micro menu" loses the instance "eye" icon, even if it's turned off in bartender. (the instance icon is in the beta there by default and not on the minimap).

This is kinda important
Hello,
Is there a custom condition I can use to hide a bar when resting/in a city? Would be awesome if it is possible, but I can't figure it out.
EDIT: I figured it out:
[resting]hide;show
Thanks in advance,
Vinny
Hello!
I've been using Bartender for many years and still do but there is one feature I think would benefit the add-on very nice
and that would be being able to change the frame strata. I use WeakAuras to customize my action buttons and the frame strata is set on Medium for everything on Bartender 4 and I don't see any options to change that setting. So whatever I make on WeakAuras to show above the action buttons I have to set the frame strata to High. The only problem setting it to high is if you go to the map page any aura's or bars on WeakAuras will show on the map page.
I know there would be a way to change the strata with another add-on for Bartender but don't really feel like doing that even though it's not that hard.
I'd rather have it on Bartender itself to make life more easy and custom.
Malygos encounter still bugs.. no vehicle bar in P3, so you just fly around and can't use any abilities.
the key bind feature doesn't work for me. very frustrating because being above to set up your bars is amazing. Any help would be great. Thanks
Would it be possible in a future version to get the option to use the new Griffin art with the Classic Art Bar layout?
Is there a macro command to hide and show a specific bar?
For instance, bar 8 is my combat bar. I want to be able to, using a
macro, show it and then hide it when I don't need it. I know there is
a command you can use in the Visibility tab of the bar that I have used
before but i would like manual command of it. Any suggestions?
Even if using a macro to hide, and a macro to show is good with me.
**SUGGESTION**
Is there a way to make the pet bar 12 slots and the same configuration as the other bars. The bar seems to be slightly smaller than the other configurations and the spacing is also off.....
I had no vehicle bar on the Malygos encounter and therefor couldn't press any keys, so I just flew around....
In reply to Fedekielle:
can confirm this is a problem
