Auctionator_RecipeList

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Creates an Auctionator's shopping list with all recipes your alts need based on Altoholic data.

Although I created this addon to demonstrate the usage of LibTextbook, I'm sure you'll find it useful.

Description

Every time you open AH window a shopping list named Textbook:Recipes will be created. If you by any chance already have the list with that name IT WILL BE DELETED!

The addon scans Altoholic's data for all tradeskills your all characters on current realm (both factions!) have learned and compares them with the list of all non-BoP non-Common recipes that your characters can or will be able to learn. The recipes already in your bags, banks and mail are also taken in account.

Localization

It will work properly only with English clients.

Known Issues

Since Altoholic doesn't keep record about Tradeskill specialization I'm unable to implement the filter for it. This could be a problem only with Engineering, since other profession's specialty exclusive recipes are either trained or sold by a vendor. So, be careful not to buy Gnomish recipe for your Goblin Engineering character and otherwise.

Is there a way to get this to work with pets & mounts as well - would be nice to filter out the various pets & mounts all my toons currently have (mounts not such an issue, pets definitely an issue).

Hi, like the addon on but one request:

Is there a way to have the list be by profession? So I can select Tailoring List or a Enchanting List.

I have a problem on my warlock. She has tailoring 430 and I am missing a lot of recipes. Yet every time I select the Textbook:Recipe shoppinglist nothing is shown. It does not make sense since I play on one of the busiest PvE servers in Europe. If I manually look at recipes a lot of missing recipes are shown. I am still new to Auctionator and Altoholic so I can't rule out that I forgot something.

First make sure you have DataStore libraries installed. If you don't and you've used this addon before, you addon might not be active at all and you might be looking at the list that is created before.
If you do have appropriate DataStore modules installed (Crafts, Mails, Containers, Characters) then you should send me following files from your WTF\Account\<account_name>\SavedVariables folder:
Auctionator.lua
DataStore_Crafts.lua
DataStore_Mails.lua
DataStore_Containers.lua
DataStore_Characters.lua
Hopefully, I will figure out what's going on.

Sorry for being a bit late replying. Problem was that I had not installed any Datastore libraries. The description made me think I only needed Altoholic for it to work.

Yes, it crashed when scanning the data of the alt with no mails. It's fixed now.

Was having the same error, I ended up putting a single line in to check if that second argument is nil and if it is to skip that loop. Everything seems to work fine again.

If anyone wants to try my fix, edit the file Auctionator_RecipeList.lua (make a copy of it in case you screw up).

After the line (line 57):
for _,mail in pairs(charData["mail"]) do
add the line:
if mail["link"] ~= nil then --added for fix

then after line 64 (which is simply the word "end", add another line that says:
end
