AtlasLoot Enhanced
History
AtlasLoot was originally created by Pernicius as a plugin for Atlas and contained a handful of raid loot tables to browse. Unfortunately, Pernicius was unable to maintain the mod, so Daviesh took over and renamed it to AtlasLoot Enhanced to provide a distinction between the two versions. Since that time, AtlasLoot has grown to cover every loot table for every boss, every item set, PvP Items and items for every reputation faction. In January 2010 Hegarol took over the project from Daviesh. Finally, in 2014/2015 Lag completely rewrote the entire addon for AtlasLoot v8.
What is Atlasloot
AtlasLoot Enhanced is an UI mod allowing for loot tables of bosses to be browsed whenever needed within the game.

@zebai I am making allowances for future expansion, I don't want to be caught short on menu slots like I have in the past. For example, the rep factions menu is very close to having to be split (it already is in Atlas). Some people prefer the more layered menus, look at lighterfluid's request below for SM to be split up like it is in Atlas.
Do you think an autoset for current dungeon would be a possible new feature?
And I like the new menu system but sometimes I think all these extra categories are unnecessary, like Tempest keep and coilfang, the list isn't that long why not just merge them into the "outland" global list.
@rhuagh That will only happen if a table was not loaded at startup. What exactly were you doing at the time, and can you break it down to reproducible steps? Then I can see if it is a bug, or your WoW parser is being stupid (happens rather frequently).
@LostHero I assume you mean this: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29357 Its a new drop since 2.1.0. It would be great if you could give me an item name next time. I don't wanna search whole wowhead for some "stupid leather gloves" :P
I get this error once in awhile
..\AtlasDefaultFrame.lua:218: bad argument #1 to 'ipairs' (table expected, got nil)
Anyone have a fix for this?
hmm today i was in Shadowlabs Heroic and we killed murmur and he dropped some stupid leather gloves (epic) with immun to disarm and stuff.
this item isnt listed in Atlasloot loottable. I used the 3.00.07.
@RealUnimportant The Ace library can be used seperately or embedded. The reason embedding is popular is that most users don't like having to download 2 or 3 mods to get one to work. As for which Ace version loads, it is always the newest one, very predictable.
Ace2 will not fix a badly coded addon. It is not a magic performance fix, nor does it degrade performance much. It is just a coding framework that lets people write code in a certain way that saves time for the mod AUTHOR.
@malbojia Is that for all items, or just a few. There are a few where nothing will happen when you mouse over because I don't have the itemID yet.
@lighterfluid I am trying to keep the menu uncluttered, but if there is a genuine movement for that seperation I am happy to do it
Its for all items and is also happening with itemsync as well.
and the ace installer works on .net, which means alot of people arnt going to go through the trouble of trying to install it.. :P damn windows..
Having an issue where names aren't listed with items can cursor over items and get names but not with item.
Names are there but only if you cursor over, tryed disabling all addons except it and same issue, also having same issue with itemsync, was experiencing problem with atlasloot before itemsync was ever installed.
Tryed reinstalling older version same issue, tryed updating ace2 but still shows as out of date addon.
use a map extention such as atlas or cartographer for that :P
can you put SM bosses by their part of it? Library/Armory/Graveyard/Cathedral... instead of just having all bosses listed in Scarlet Monastery and not knowing which one is in which part.
nope, all of them are embedded within the mod.
v3.00.08
As with the last couple of versions, nothing too major. There is a small update for greater Lootlink compatibility and an update to how chat links are created which should make for greater WoW Instant Messenger compatibility when the new version is out in a few days.
@Neskiairti Do you have the ace libraries installed seperately anywhere?
@brimister47 Type /atlasloot, this will open the loot browser. Click the options button here to active the minimap button.
the icon to open atlasloot wont show. anyone know why its not showing?
no, they are located where they are supposed to be.. i even deleted and reinstalled it a few times its quite strange..
could it possibly be conflicting with say cartographer? (Though im getting so sick of cartographer im thinking of deleting it entirely)
Or ark inventory i suppose.. not sure if i have any other Ace libraries
-edit- seems recap has ace libraries as well.. looked through them all, thats it.
@RealUnimportant
Ace2 itself isn't the problem. Problems are mainly caused when other addons load older versions of Ace2 or break the UI coding rules. For example some versions of Capping would break the unitframes in X-Perl and a couple of other addons. Eventually addons get updated to solve these issues.
My advice - minimise the amount of addons you install to reduce the risk of frame conflicts.
@Anorax: I don't have any frame conflicts, so I'm not sure what your advice is aimed at... I only have problems with single-function 1-button mods taking 5MB of memory to run 10 lines of code.
Admittedly this addon does far more and therefore requires much more coding, but now I've see just how much my system's performance has improved after ditching Ace2 I'll never install anything that requires it again. And besides, as can be seen, as all the authors include the libs they need but there's no way to guarantee which one gets loaded, all hell can break loose. If Ace2 WAS installed as a proper seperate dependency, then at least it would be easy and obvious when it came to updating - but I guess the Ace2 team don't see things that way themselves. :(
@RealUnimportant I disagree completely. Ace2 is supposed to be embeddable (only one instance is loaded, if another addon has already loaded the library, nothing happens), and it is definately not bloatware. I am slowly replacing buggy code that I wrote over a year ago with tried and tested code. For example, the number of bugs reported due to a translation of all the various text strings missing has dropped to zero (now automatically falls back to english), next on the hit list is my dodgy and frequently buggy saved variable implementation. Slowly, I will make more and more use of what is included. It all started from wanting to embed the FuBar plugin into the main mod and replace my dodgy minimap button with mature code, and it grew from there.
It also greatly reduces the workload required for me maintain the mod, as many common translations can be taken care of via Babble.
Ace2 is not listed as a dependancy as it is embedded in the mod, I should probably add it and all the other libraries as optional deps though.
@Neskiairti I am wondering, did you remove or edit the 'Libs' folder in AtlasLoot as it seems none of the libraries are loading for you.
