ArkInventory
ArkInventory (for The War Within)
:boom: Please ensure you are using the latest alpha version if you have the War Within client.
ArkInventory (for Retail, Classic, and Cataclysm)
ArkInventory's display windows are built from "virtual bars", you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want. There is no limit to the number of bars you can have inside a window but obviously you only have so much screen real estate before it becomes "too many".
ArkInventory uses several methods to assign a default category to an item such as what professions you have, tooltip scanning, basic type/subtype and PeriodicTable. You then assign those categories to a virtual bar.
You can also over-ride the default category by creating a rule that matches either a single or multiple items.
Overview:
- user configurable window width and height
- separate keybindings for each location for easy viewing
- assign items to a category of your choice (overrides the default assignment)
- assign categories to the bar of your choice
- unlimited number of bars (there are practical limits though before your screen becomes full)
- sort each bar differently if required
- user configurable bars per row
- sell junk items automatically or manually (delete available via a keybinding or right clicking when at a vendor)
- random pet and mount summons. can also assign a group of them to select from
Key Bindings:
- Press ESCAPE to bring up the blizzard menu
- click on Key Bindings
- scroll down to AddOns > ArkInventory
- bind the keys you want to use

:boom: The NoLib variant
it seems quite a few people are somehow getting the NoLib variant from their download client when they didn't specifically ask for it, instead of the full variant, and its causing issues as they don't have the required libraries installed separately. Please ensure you are downloading the full. if you see nolib in the filename then its the wrong variant, unless you are actually installing all of the required libraries separately as well. If you have to you can manually download the full variant from CurseForge, WoWInterface, or Wago.
:boom: Junk Sell getting blocked
While auto-destroy remains blocked, From 30960 onwards you can setup a Key Binding to manually sell and destroy your items. Note that blizzard require one keypress per item deletion, so if you have multiple items that need to be deleted you will need to press the Key Binding multiple times. A message will be output if you have remaining items that can still be deleted.
:warning: Ensure you have backup copies of your saved variables file
Sometimes you cannot revert back to a previous version without a backup, especially alpha or beta versions, so before upgrading please make sure you have made a backup of your saved variables file
Your saved variables file is normally located at ...\World of Warcraft\_client_\WTF\Account\yourwowaccountname\SavedVariables\ArkInventory.lua
It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate backups of your saved variables file. You dont have to do them frequently, just after you've made major changes to your config is probably fine for most people, but you should get into the habit of making backups because when it does corrupt you wont have to reconfigure everything from scratch.
If you have your download client set to automatically download alpha/beta versions you should definitely have backups.
A simple way to back up the saved variables file is to just do a copy and paste then rename the new file (using the version number of ArkInventory or the date is a good idea), eg ArkInventory-30900.lua, or ArkInventory-20191228.lua
i would disable mailbox scanning if you have that much stuff in there all the time. every item you remove means AI has to rescan the mailbox.

I think it was already disabeled? I left a pic here: https://imgur.com/a/mY4ZJgt
I could not even click on the setting to enable it?

Hello, theres a way to filter any item with ilvl > currently equiped item? Example, if i've a better weapon in my bags, show this weapon in group...
I attempt to make this without hard-coding ilvl each time I change my gear.
Edit: just seen ArkInventoryRules_MoreRules addon, with upgrade() rule. Can you please consider adding something similar to ArkInventory?
Is there a way that I can make it so that anything under a certain item level it can be reassigned to the Junk category? Maybe a way to make this happen via rules? Sorry I'm a noob when it comes to messing with addon's default states so step by step would be great or something I can copy/paste and add to my settings would be much appreciated.
Example: All [0416] Equipment (Soulbound) Items under ilvl 425 be automatically relabeled to Junk so I know it's safe to scrap/disenchant/vendor.
create a rule with a formula of equip() and sb() and ilvl(0,424) - this will collect anything equipable and soulbound and has an ilvl between 0 and 424
enable edit mode and assign that rule to any bar you want
in that menu go up to categories assigned > rules and find the rule you just added
make sure status is set to enabled. if it isnt click on disabled to toggle it
you'll also need to click on auto sell to toggle it to enabled so that autosell will pick up those items as "junk" and try to sell them
note that you may need to increase the quality cutoff in the junk config options if you want to sell anything higher than white/common items
In reply to Arkayenro:
Thanks!
Hey, there seems to be a bug when creating a rule to pull corrupted items. I am using the formula itemstat("corruption"), this is pulling all items with the corruption stat, expect for items of ilvl 475, I have no other rules interfering with this, and have tried putting the rule order to 0, just in case a different formula was affecting it without my knowing.
Not sure what is causing the issue but thought I would give you a heads up.
corruption is not a stat, its bonus id based.
go to config > general > bonus ids and make sure corruption is enabled for searching
you should then be able to use tooltip("corrupt")
In reply to Arkayenro:
worked, thanks :)
Hey, on auto-close I think there's a problem.
a default behavior is that when I have the autoclose options on, then I go to a merchant or mailbox as an example, then whenever I close the merchant, the bags shall automatically close, which indeed does happen.
however, if I already have my bags open by me, before opening the mail or vendor, then if I step away from that mail or vendor the bags shall remain open, because I opened them myself and they weren't automatically opened by the vendor.
so in a sense I am asking for the auto-close feature option to work only when the auto-open has been initiated, I think this is the exact behavior of default bags in wow, which makes sense, test it out.
After updating my addon in Classic, I'm getting the following on all my characters:

I have Twitch set to download release versions only. The most recent zip is 3.09.20
In reply to Forge_User_71701770:
The same thing happens to me. Just updated to 3.09.20 also :(
fixed in 3.09.21
In reply to Arkayenro:
That was weird. Twitch was telling me I had 3.09.21 I checked Twitch again and it said that it was installed in both Classic and Retail, yet logging into Classic this morning, I still had the same problem. I logged out and checked both versions in Twitch yet again, but this time, when I switch to Classic addons it said there was an update for ArkInventory. Having updated, it's all working perfectly. Sorry for the confusion.
The "corrupted eye" seems to stay on the slot even tho I disenchantet the item. So the eye just floats above an empty bagspace.
/reload helped.
Additional real time scanning needed? :(
did clicking on the refresh button not fix it?
actually, nvm, bad coding. will be fixed next release
I'm having an issue where my shared realm alts don't keep track of how many items are in my guild's bank.
Example: Main is on Khadgar, which is where my guild is based, my alt is on Alleria in the same guild. My main has zero issues showing me how many items are in the guild bank but my alt on Alleria shows zero info.
I can't figure out if maybe I have a certain setting turned off somewhere? If someone could help me out in figuring out where to look that'd be great, it's a problem for me because my alt is my herbalist and I want to be able to easily see what herbs I should try to focus on to help my guild out.
make sure general > tooltips > realm only, isnt ticked or the item counts wont include data from other realms - or if you only want that realm then make sure connected realms is enabled to pick up the connected realms
In reply to Arkayenro:
Thanks!
