ArkInventory
ArkInventory (for Retail, Classic, and Cataclysm)
The NoLib variant
it seems quite a few people are somehow getting the NoLib variant from their download client when they didn't specifically ask for it instead of the full variant and its causing issues as they don't have the required libraries installed separately. Please ensure you are downloading the full variant. if you see nolib in the filename then its the wrong variant, unless you are actually installing all of the required libraries separately as well. If you have to you can manually download the full variant from here.
Junk Sell getting blocked
While auto-destroy remains blocked, From 30960 onwards you can setup a Key Binding to manually sell and destroy your items. Note that blizzard require one keypress per deletion, so if you have multiple items that need to be deleted you will need to press the Key Binding multiple times. A message will be output if you have remaining items that can still be deleted.
Alpha / Beta Versions: Ensure you make a backup copy of your saved variables file
Sometimes you cannot revert back to a previous version without a backup so before installing any alpha/beta version please make sure you have made a backup of your saved variable file
Your saved variable file is normally located in ...\World of Warcraft\_client_\WTF\Account\yourwowaccountname\SavedVariables\ArkInventory.lua
If you have your download client set to automatically download alpha/beta versions then it is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate backups of your saved variables file - do not complain if you lose your configuration or it gets screwed up because of an alpha/beta version, it is always a possibility so you need to be prepared.
A simple way to back it up is to just do a copy and paste then rename the new file (using the version number of ArkInventory or the date is a good idea), eg ArkInventory-30900.lua, or ArkInventory-20191228.lua

If you are having an issue then the first step is to disable all other mods and just test ArkInventory by itself
If the issue is still there then please check for an existing issue and lodge a new ticket if required.
If the issue is gone then re-enable your other mods one by one until the issue comes back, then report that to me as well as the other mods author
When posting a comment about an error please do not include the list of addons or really long traces, just the actual error message is fine. If I need more I'll ask you for it.
ArkInventory's display windows are built from "virtual bars", you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want. There is no limit to the number of bars you can have inside a window but obviously you only have so much screen real estate before it becomes "too many".
ArkInventory uses several methods to assign a default category to an item such as what professions you have, tooltip scanning, basic type/subtype and PeriodicTable. You then assign those categories to a virtual bar.
You can also over-ride the default category by creating a rule that matches either a single or multiple items.
Overview:
- user configurable window width and height
- separate keybindings for each location for easy viewing
- assign items to a category of your choice (overrides the default assignment)
- assign categories to the bar of your choice
- unlimited number of bars (there are practical limits though before your screen becomes full)
- sort each bar differently if required
- user configurable bars per row
Key Bindings:
Press ESCAPE to bring up the blizzard menu
click on Key Bindings
scroll down to ArkInventory
bind the keys you want to use
See ReadMe.txt and VersionHistory.txt for further details
type this into the chat window. does it return nil or a large chunk of stuff?
if its enabled and there are no errors then it should be running ok which means that if the blizzard bags are opening the override for that location isnt enabled. can you check the config for each location and make sure that override is ticked?

I'm an idiot, but I finally figured out how to copy the bug from bugsack. Here's what I'm getting, even after the update that was pushed:

AI is still not showing up for me, sadly.
if its hitting the script timer limit then you may have accidentally increased the values too high in the advanced config options
the only way to reset them is by manually editing the arkinventory saved variables file
you'll need to search for ["thread"] =, and then change any values in that section to 75
then save it, and start wow to see if it works again or not
In reply to Arkayenro:
I've not touched anything resembling advanced options. This is from a fresh uninstall/reinstall from wowup.io (i hate twitch). It's been doing this since I started back playing about a week, maybe a week and a half ago. I don't even have an ArkInventory saved variables file to edit that i can find.
saved variable location can be found in the description at the top of this page. you will have one, and reinstalling the addon wont do anything to it (unless the installer explicitly deletes it)
if possible open a ticket as its easier to follow than trying to find your updates here
In reply to Arkayenro:
I saw another update pushed via overwolf/curseforge. Downloaded adn installed. Working now! Thank GOD! I missed my bags so much. Now I just have to make sure that it's not ArkInventory causing all the UI errors that wow is screaming about in the chat frame. D:
Hi, how do you move the bag? I can't ... I tried everything yes, if I put the standard profile I move, if I put mine no ... I'm going crazy ...
ok nothing found it...tx
config > general > profiles > your profile > controls > backpack > lock (its next to anchor), make sure you havent locked it
I'm on 3.09.42-version on Retail, getting this error everytime I open up my bags:

looks like an addonskins issue
In reply to Arkayenro:
correct, disabled the arkinventory-addonskin for now until they decide to update their addon
In reply to NneohTV:
yes , is addonskin....disable in addonskin arkinventoryu and work
In reply to pozzyx2018wow:
awesome, that worked for now, thanks!
I updated to the latest version for classic today and now a lot of pieces of gear have changed from the System > Equipment (Soulbound) catagory to the System > Junk catagory
How do I fix this without manually reassigning every item back where it belongs?
probably these so check the junk options
* added - config > general > junk > soulbound > already known - to disable soulbound already known recipes being categorised as junk
* added - config > general > junk > soulbound > equipment - to disable soulbound unusable equipment being categorised as junk
In reply to Arkayenro:
I don't have those options under general > junk.
In reply to Arkayenro:
manually installing 3.09.42 over the 3.09.39 that I had has fixed it
I no longer seem to be getting my selected currencies to show up in the ark inventory window. Is this an intended change or a temporary bug?
its a bug.. one of the blizzard functions changed its return value names when it went live.
its fixed in alpha5 or you can wait for the next release
Followed all of the instructions above, but ArkInventory is still not functional after the prepatch.
