ArkInventory
ArkInventory (for The War Within)
:boom: Please ensure you are using the latest alpha version if you have the War Within client.
ArkInventory (for Retail, Classic, and Cataclysm)
ArkInventory's display windows are built from "virtual bars", you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want. There is no limit to the number of bars you can have inside a window but obviously you only have so much screen real estate before it becomes "too many".
ArkInventory uses several methods to assign a default category to an item such as what professions you have, tooltip scanning, basic type/subtype and PeriodicTable. You then assign those categories to a virtual bar.
You can also over-ride the default category by creating a rule that matches either a single or multiple items.
Overview:
- user configurable window width and height
- separate keybindings for each location for easy viewing
- assign items to a category of your choice (overrides the default assignment)
- assign categories to the bar of your choice
- unlimited number of bars (there are practical limits though before your screen becomes full)
- sort each bar differently if required
- user configurable bars per row
- sell junk items automatically or manually (delete available via a keybinding or right clicking when at a vendor)
- random pet and mount summons. can also assign a group of them to select from
Key Bindings:
- Press ESCAPE to bring up the blizzard menu
- click on Key Bindings
- scroll down to AddOns > ArkInventory
- bind the keys you want to use

:boom: The NoLib variant
it seems quite a few people are somehow getting the NoLib variant from their download client when they didn't specifically ask for it, instead of the full variant, and its causing issues as they don't have the required libraries installed separately. Please ensure you are downloading the full. if you see nolib in the filename then its the wrong variant, unless you are actually installing all of the required libraries separately as well. If you have to you can manually download the full variant from CurseForge, WoWInterface, or Wago.
:boom: Junk Sell getting blocked
While auto-destroy remains blocked, From 30960 onwards you can setup a Key Binding to manually sell and destroy your items. Note that blizzard require one keypress per item deletion, so if you have multiple items that need to be deleted you will need to press the Key Binding multiple times. A message will be output if you have remaining items that can still be deleted.
:warning: Ensure you have backup copies of your saved variables file
Sometimes you cannot revert back to a previous version without a backup, especially alpha or beta versions, so before upgrading please make sure you have made a backup of your saved variables file
Your saved variables file is normally located at ...\World of Warcraft\_client_\WTF\Account\yourwowaccountname\SavedVariables\ArkInventory.lua
It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate backups of your saved variables file. You dont have to do them frequently, just after you've made major changes to your config is probably fine for most people, but you should get into the habit of making backups because when it does corrupt you wont have to reconfigure everything from scratch.
If you have your download client set to automatically download alpha/beta versions you should definitely have backups.
A simple way to back up the saved variables file is to just do a copy and paste then rename the new file (using the version number of ArkInventory or the date is a good idea), eg ArkInventory-30900.lua, or ArkInventory-20191228.lua

Posted Nov 2, 2014Let me start off by saying "Thank you!!". I consider myself an addon addict (170 line items enabled in ACP), and of all my addons, Arkinventory is not only my favorite, but the one I would be most dismayed to be without.
Currently it is working flawlessly for my needs other than one thing. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong to enable the right-click-reagents-from-bag-to-reagent-bank feature. I found answers on both comments pages 11 and 12 showing that I just need to select or disable "Deposit"
So in my bank bag changer, I right click the bag labeled "Reagent Bank" and under cleanup all I see is, "Ignore this bag" and "Depost All Reagents". I don't see a "Deposit" so I assume that is referring to the "Deposit All Reagents" line.
I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but will be doggoned if I can figure it out. Any help would be appreciated, and thanks again for this very awesome and helpful addon =)

Posted Nov 3, 2014nothing, the context of that reply was for auto-depositing and cleanup
right clicking on a reagent item will not deposit it into the reagent bank - it cant because the blizzard code doesnt know you have the reagent bank open (as im showing both at the same time)

Posted Nov 5, 2014i might be able to add a button like in the guild bank to swap between bank and reagent bank (i'll have ot lookup how blizzard do this)
is there any reason you cant use the cleanup fucntion as that will move all reagents into the reagent bank.

Posted Nov 2, 2014This has been a great addon for me. I updated it to 3.04.15 but in-game I get a message in text saying "failsafe kicked in--aborting arkinventory translations due to an error of some sort." Does anyone know how to fix this?

Posted Nov 2, 2014I've used this addon for years. I just recently came back to WoW and picked it up again, and still love it. I just cannot for the life of me get Item Age to show up. Is there some trick to it or something else that has to be enabled for it to work?

Posted Nov 2, 2014Very nice addon, i'm using it since around 2007. I'm having a little trouble, when i open the void storage (never used it until now), it opens with wow aspect but checking the ArkInventory configurations, is marked for opening with ArkInventory. Any idea?
Thank you and good job!

Posted Nov 1, 2014I simply LOVE this addon.
After the last update ALL gear, soulbound AND equippable now has the same "name". So soulbound gear now is called Equippable Items together with NOT soulbound items.
Please fix this.
Thanks

Posted Nov 1, 2014Been using yer addon for a long time and love it!
I'm having toybox issues now though. It worked for a while but now I get a bag that says ERR on the left bottom with most of my toons. With the toons that are working, everything is red. I can drag the toy out to my bag or bar to use it. Have I missed something that I need to do?

Posted Nov 1, 2014the ERR issue should have been fixed in 3.04.15, and the ai toybox window is read only, all you can do is drag them onto an action bar.

Posted Oct 30, 2014Getting this error almost constantly while playing...I don't do code, so it's probably something I'm doing wrong. Is this just a simple addon noncompatibility with Tradeskill Master? Thanks for the addon btw, been using it for as long as I could remember. The customization is awesome.

Posted Oct 30, 2014Decent addon, has the features I'm looking for, however the settings never stick. I set something, and it just reverts on UI reload. Also has some issues with auto sorting.
