Arcana

Table of Contents

Arcana (formerly ChocolateBar) is a lightweight display for broker plugins that lets you organize and observe information on flexible panels. An alternative to TitanPanel, Bazooka and other broker displays.

The Quel'dorei became scattered across the world. To preserve the fragments of arcana they gathered from many sources, they maintain observatories where this knowledge is kept in careful order.

Main Features

Multiple bars - top/bottom or anywhere as many as you want.
Decoloring of plugin text and stripping in text icons for a cleaner ui.
Support for icon colors and coordinates like used by TomTom.
To qucikly get to a plugins option drag a plugin over the open option drop point.
More Arcane - a plugin toggle show/hide another bar.

Options for:

Show bars on mouse over only.
Hide bars in combat.
Hide bars during a pet battle.
Set a fixed width for any plugin.
Change textures, font, colors and a lot more...

Search for plugins in the category data-broker on CurseForge.

Usage

Right click the bar or type "/arcana" to open the options menu.

the buffs aren't moving because they changed several frame names.. I just downloaded the new Fubar and copied the updated LibJostle-3.0 library to the Chocolate lib folder (replacing the existing folder) and everything is back to normal.

Should be fixed, but you may miss the tooltip of the addon causing the error in the fist place. Please tell me the name of the addon if you miss a tooltip.

After loading chocolate bar, you need to load the LDB plugins you use most.

I finally got around to switching out my last few FuBar plugins for LDB plugins and switching over to ChocolateBar for display. Works nicely, thanks for the addon :D

I was diagnosing an issue with cBroker: Recount today and found that it leaves .text as "" and only sets .value and .suffix. From my understanding, it should be setting the .text as well, so the issue is with cBR, not ChocolateBar. Will CB be supporting this feature of LDB in the future, though?

I had found an issue where I get an "this action has been blocked by the UI" error traced back to ChocolateBar. I was on my hunter. I had opened up the spellbook and was viewing the Pet tab. I attempted to turn off the autocast for Cower in the spellbook since I was about to do some soloing (Cower was not on the pet action bar). It was then I got the error to pop up. It explicitly mentioned ChocolateBar Display. I selected Disable and let the console reload. When I tried to turn off autocast from the spellbook, this time it was successful. Please advise.

This is completely broken for me right now. All my settings got reset on the last patch, and when I try to change the "profile", the entire addon blows up. I get an error and the entire bar disappears. I tried completely removing my chocolatebar savedvariables no no avail :(

ok I looked over the addon, I like it, I tried the Hide Tooltip check button thing and it isn't hiding the tooltip for the CPU stuff, the broker plugin, I just want it to display the screen info not the infor that shows when I hover over it, how do I disable the tooltips for it?

The disable tooltips option of ChocolateBar is for combat only. What you probably want is a simple broker plugin without a tooltip that shows the cpu info you want.

Is it possible to be able to change the colours of the tooltips? Or is that something handled somewhere else?
