Arcana

Table of Contents

Arcana (formerly ChocolateBar) is a lightweight display for broker plugins that lets you organize and observe information on flexible panels. An alternative to TitanPanel, Bazooka and other broker displays.

The Quel'dorei became scattered across the world. To preserve the fragments of arcana they gathered from many sources, they maintain observatories where this knowledge is kept in careful order.

Main Features

Multiple bars - top/bottom or anywhere as many as you want.
Decoloring of plugin text and stripping in text icons for a cleaner ui.
Support for icon colors and coordinates like used by TomTom.
To qucikly get to a plugins option drag a plugin over the open option drop point.
More Arcane - a plugin toggle show/hide another bar.

Options for:

Show bars on mouse over only.
Hide bars in combat.
Hide bars during a pet battle.
Set a fixed width for any plugin.
Change textures, font, colors and a lot more...

Search for plugins in the category data-broker on CurseForge.

Usage

Right click the bar or type "/arcana" to open the options menu.

kinda fixed now. the buffs still dont move UNLESS i cast a Tempory buff like the fishing lure then it will move down. but once the buff runs out or i remove it. the buff will jump back up to there default spots

just a heads up (you probley already know) but the CB works fien on Beta just cant get in to the options part and its not adjustion the blizzard frames like the minimand or buffs, other then that seems to work fine

ok thanks working on beta now, just one small minor issues now. is the buffs and minimap dont move when the check mark is set to move blizzard frames. other then that its working like normal in beta

Long time Titan user, but sometimes it does things that annoys me. I saw this one recommended via wow.com, but I was wondering about using/replacing titan plugins, and using top and bottom bars. I think what makes me nervous about switching is losing the info the plugins provides

Yess - great work on CB! I've used it for quite a while.

As a note, after updating to r109, something has broken with libJostle. Upon each login, I get the libJostle related error and then several of my loader/display modules do not display.

However, once I go into ChocolateBar config, select ANY module on the bar that is effected (top or bottom), uncheck the "ENABLE" box and then re-check the ENABLE box (essentially turning the module off then on), the effected modules on that bar will appear normally.

Just quite annoying having to do this upon every login attempt atm.

This was resolved by replacing the embedded LibJostle (r44) with the newly available version (http://www.wowace.com/addons/libjostle-3-0/files/31-r50/) (r50).

The error has gone away. Might want to update ChocolateBar to include the latest version of LibJostle.

You need to put a note somewhere that you need to set toggle to "None" if you want all to display.
Took me a while to work out what the deal is with my disappearing bars and why I couldn't move them.

Whoot, fubar gave me some errors, so'd titan but chocolate=no issues yet... other than the small prob called i can't find some plugins I do miss... just wondering if anyone reading this knows of any to fill the following gaps:
1 - Guild (not happen with broker_altguild that I found)
2 - Rest (shows rest time on various characters and idealy last login time)
3 - durability (i know there's gotta be one showing this, lol)
4 - minimap buttons (i did find minimap button frame but it doesn't show the calendar nor the leave random dungeon one either even after messing with it's options)
5 - Prof/skill (hover over the icon and it'll list all profs and skill level - even better all skills)
6 - trade cooldown (something that shows when my northrend alchemy research/transmute is avail on my toons)
7 - time/calender display

Frankly even without finding the above I like chocolate but just wondering if any users reading this have suggestions for the above... i'll take a look again later and try to find some but suggestions are always better since hopefully those suggestions are ones that work well already, lol.

To chocolate's author - thanks, this is a good addon.

Altoholic can keep track of your rested and approximates the last time you logged into your alts.

Titan hasn't given me problems yet but after this one was featured on wow.com I'm about to try it out.

There's always 2 bars. I had to add one to put it on the bottom since it wouldn't move the top one, then when I deleted the extra one now all of my toons have 2 bars and it never saves after I delete the second.

Thanks for the Jostle suggestion. I fixed moving my buffs and put the icons back on lower bars.

--For those that are here as they're alt-tabbing from game. Quick fix for the icons is to disable/enable one and the rest will pop back. They will disappear again if you /RL or log. So download the LibJostle r50 from the link below when you can.
