WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) v3

Note from MysticalOS: I am looking for someone who wants to take WIM over. It's become a higher and higher amount of stress to upkeep and has gotten to point where it's too much work to even keep it FUNCTIONAL let alone actually try to improve it any. WIM is not a main project for me and is only something I do in free time here and there. My main focus is other projects that consume most of my time and I do not give WIM the attention it needs to be great again.

WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) is a World of Warcraft addon which brings an instant messenger feel to communication in game.

I created WIM over 2 years ago with the curiosity of creating an addon. Since then, WIM has evolved into what it is today, however so many requests from the community were added into the addon which resulted in bulky and inefficient coding practices that took a toll on both CPU and Memory usage. To resolve this, I decided to rewrite WIM from scratch. Each feature is being reintroduced one at a time and being advanced upon. That being said, I welcome you to WIM 3.0.

    Any chance we can get a fix for the invite button on WIM chat windows when talking to RealID friends.

    "Cannot find player 'John Doe'"

    @wing0gund: Go

    I have this too, I have to uncheck and re-check system messages for my non-WIM chat window and then they appear for a while... until I use WIM for something. Not sure what WIM is doing, but something it does makes it suppress system messages to the normal chat window.

    I have a problem where WIM is making it so I no longer get the yellow system messages. I don't get a notification when friends log on or off, when I bid on an auction, and various other messages. I had no problem with it before the latest version of WIM, and reinstalling it completely didn't fix it, only disabling WIM does.

    everytime I try to get into the WIM Options I got the following error message:

    WIM-3.4.2\Sources\Options\OptionsTookKit.lua:373: attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil value <in C code>: in function `Show' WIM-3.4.2\Sources\Options\Options.lua:325: in function `?' I have WIM 3.5.4 installed (through the Curse Client). A few minutes ago I deleted every WIM-folder within Interface and WTF and installed it anew - same result. Any ideas what it might be? :-)

    Can we have release notes for the new version you make? Like what does it fix... etc.

    Thank you for such a wonderful AddOn that has made people's world (of warcraft) so much better! This is perfect for IM junkies like me, and I'm sure many of us can't live without this now. :)

    My only suggestion from years of use would be an option to change the "minimize" button to a close button permanently without having to hold shift+click. That, and maybe some cool themes/layouts. but I'm asking too much. perfect addon as is :)

    I keep getting the pop up that there's an update available but I can't find any update anywhere. I currently have 3.3.7 as far as I can tell that's the most recent version

    "After some testings i can say that there is some achi link problems on wim and if i can sugest something would be really nice if in chat window friends from realid would be listed with only initials, like chanels, its prety anoing when someone full name take half of the talking space when you can see it anyway at window frame ;) "

    Thanks for good work, Ovun from BL

    I'm seeing a lot of reports of errors with the new version 3.3.5 and I'm not having a problem. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I removed (deleted) the old WIM folder before I installed the new version. And WIM is working as it should, without a problem. Thought this might help.... Oh, and another thing - if you're on an EU server, this will not work because it's for 3.3.5 which is not live on EU servers til next week. WIM 3.3.5 is for WoW 3.3.5 only
