17 - Channeling pushback compensation
This is a request for a complimentary enhancement to Gaff3's enhancement. His patch allows display of damage ticks for channeled spells on the cast bar. The code does not dynamically shift the tick positions upon receipt of damaging push back or haste proc (although I'm unsure if a mid-channel haste proc will change the duration, and therefore spacing of ticks, of the current channel). ForteExorcist has implemented the same visual tick display that Gaff3 has provided for Quartz, but additionally compensates tick position for push back. The addition of push back/haste compensation to Quartz's tick display would be a great enhancement to the excellent work he's already done.

Thanks ak48disk0
I found a issue.

Some ticks didn't show and ticks moved to the left while haste skills or trinkets proced.
Although Drain Soul(65.91% haste) is 8 ticks, it showed only 6 ticks.

I have patched Latency.lua and Player.lua(minor change) for current version and uploaded them at http://www.gamefront.com/files/21021052/quartz.rar ,other files remains unchanged.

ak48disk0 Nov 22, 2011 at 16:26 UTC - 0 likesActually I have already edited the code, mainly the Latency module, making it dynamically show channeling ticks and its pushback.
Hopefully, you may consider adding it to your code, despite the code itself is not that clear.
The code is downloadable at http://www.gamefront.com/files/21014408/quartz.rar or http://img.ngacn.cc/attachments/mon_201110/10/183_4e92e3a35168d.rar

bobbylam Jul 08, 2010 at 12:17 UTC - 0 likesIs anyone working on this? This is the only reason why I stick with Quartz2 with latencyMF2, since Quartz3 can't show the shifted position of damage ticks of channeled spells after receiving damage. Being a shadow priest with 2 channelling damage spells (Mind Flay and Mind Sear), this is a very important component when dealing with continous AOE damage.
