OneBag's New Search Feature

OneBag3 is part of a long line of bag replacements for the default game bags that will combine all of your bags into one frame.

OneBag has a long history of minimalism and OneBag3 will continue to uphold the standard of easy of use and simplicity it's predecessors set. Like the earlier versions, OneBag3 will continue to offer powerful options for those who wish to delve a little deeper.

Also in the vein of earlier iterations I've kept to the philosophy of doing as little work as possible, as a result the code base is very small, and most of it is in the OneCore library. As of the time of writing there are only 268 lines of code unique to OneBag3, and only 1804 lines of code in OneCore itself. LoC is a horrible stat in general, but it's fun none the less, and I cheat horribly since I build off the powerful Ace3 libraries.

  • Now with Search
  • Combines all of your bags into one.
  • Customizable number of columns
  • Inherent support for addons that interact with the default bags
  • Color coded slots by item rarity or bag type
  • Will automatically open and close for you when visiting the auction house, bank, mailbox, merchant or when trading with another player.
  • Allows only certain bags to be displayed, either by slot or type
  • Custom bag bar which will highlight it's associated slots on mouseover. This highlighting can be locked in place by clicking.
  • Customizable scale, background color, alpha, and more.
  • Clean and powerful graphical configuration
  • Exposes WoW's built in bag sorting

The Family

The brains and the brawn of the outfit, Core does all the heavy lifting both logic and layout wise. This is embedded in OneBag by default, and you shouldn't need to worry about installing it unless you're running no-lib builds.

I wrote a small patch that will put a yellow border on quest items. I'm not sure if anyone else than me will find this useful, but I often find myself shuffling through my items to find a particular quest item. This is a time saver. :)

Feel free to include this in the addon, in its original or rewritten form.

I have written a Currency display for OneBag3 that displays the tokens/honor you check in your currency tab in the bottom of OneBag3 next to your money. A screenshot can be found here (custom borders + clearfont)

I just need to catch Kaelten in irc but I guess thats hard on these christmas days :> Since I am away over christmas, I just paste my changes here. Hopefully they get included when Kaelten has some time ^^

One thing I would like to add, wow has a default features for displaying how much honor you have in your bags for each of the items in your Currency tab. Could we add that to "OneBag"?

Another feature I would like, is a "horde" tab and a "alliance" tab at the top as an optional way to get to other bags. I think the current way of getting to other bags is fine for people who don't check other account often.

But, I would like as follows:

Horde Tab when logged in as horde: [0] |logged in toon1|toon2|toon3| ...

Alliance Tab when logged in: [0] |logged in toon4|toon5|toon6| ...

the [0] should allow you to switch between horde and alliance toons.

I really miss being able to see what's in other bags, that is why I am still using BankItems.

I spend alot of time sorting my bags, and between bankitems and this mod, I get about 95% of work done. The tabs will help speed things up greatly once I can see other players bags.

I'm going to write a autosorting plugin that matches how I like to have my bags. But it will never be default enabled in OB. Others are also able to write their own plugins as well. & Adminstrator
Check out my new addon, OneChoice, it helps you pick quest rewards faster.

@ gagou: Re #2--that defeats the entire purpose of OneBag, which (as I understand it, and why I use it) is to allow ME the option of sorting however I like; rather than have someone impose their idea of categories on me.

are such modules planned for OneBag / OneBank: 1. display all stack of the same item as one item 2. split the bag in categories (like arkinventory or bagins)
