What it Does
Activating it brings up an instruction frame from which KeyBinding mode can be cancelled.
- KeyBinding mode
- Hover cursor over participating frames.
- The current keys are shown in tooltip and in the frame.
- Click buttons or keys to bind.
- Press Escape to clear bindings
Implemented:
- It is now a LibStub lib.
- Removed AceLocale-3.0 and AceEvent-3.0 dependencies.
- Localized for deDE, enUS, esES, esMX, frFR, koKR, zhCN, zhTW
- Localized the shortened keys that display in the button
- Added a color for mods to use while binding to visually identify buttons / objects that can be bound as well as make the mode more obvious, thus reducing errors.
- Cancel Button added to panel. Clicking it reverts all bindings made.
- Okay Button added to panel. Clicking it commits all bindings made, saving them to disk.
- Hide Button removed. it is replaced by Okay and Cancel.
- Okay & Cancel actions are delayed till after combat ends for mods that dont close it on combat start.
Planned Features:
- Reintegrate the Spell and Macro Book Bindings.
- Add localized text explaining them.
- Make it all lod (this would be 2.0)
Origin of the Species
ClickBinder by Gello and TrinityBinder by Maul -> keyBound by Tuller -> LibKeyBound library by Toadkiller.
Thank you for adding in command key support so quickly for the SL pre-patch!
Hey guys,
I am the author of addon Binder, which allows for setting keybind profiles.
I integrated libkeybound because it made creating new profiles significantly nicer. Some time ago, it stopped working and I have had a really hard time getting it working again. As best I can tell, it no longer makes all the blizzard action bar buttons available to be bound by default.
How would I go about making it so that when LibKeyBound has been toggled on, all default blizzard buttons are available for keybinding?
I would really appreciate some help on this one! I'm trying to get my addon ready for BfA and this is really the last thing in my way.
Thanks so much!

This addon doesn't work when used in conjunction with another addon like Binder. All it does is open up the dialog window saying that I may keybind my stuff but it doesn't work. It's the same problem that Dosenpfaendle1 had described.
This is not an AddOn. It is a library FOR AddOns to use. It's the same reply I gave to Dosenpfaendle1.
It does not work. When I activate it with /kb, it opens up the dialog to now bind stuff. But the binding does not work. When I push the buttons once hovering, nothing happens - except that it presses the button combination, which is on a different action button.
This is a library which is intended to be used by AddOns. It isn't, in itself, an AddOn.
