Re-Write of the original HeadCount. This rewrite is to move to Ace3 and WoW 4.0

HeadCount2 is a configurable World of Warcraft add-on that automatically tracks raid attendance, loot, and boss kills.

HeadCount2 answers the following questions:

  • How long is a player active in a raid?
  • How long is a player on standby for a raid?
  • How long is a player offline during a given raid?
  • What loot dropped during a raid and who received it?
  • What boss kills occurred during a given raid and who was there for the kill?

  • Raid creation: Automatically creates a new raid as you join or start a raid.
  • Raid finalization: Automatically ends an existing raid as you leave a raid.
  • Raid management: The user can end raids, remove raids, or remove all raids on demand.
  • Raid zone tracking: Zone name are automatically added to raids as you zone into a raid instance for the first time.

Player attendance

  • Player tracking: Players are tracked based on their timed participation in the raid. Players can be tracked based on configurable raid groups for raid list activity (active raiding players) and wait list players (queue/standby players).
  • Player removal: The user can remove tracked information for specific players on demand.
  • Player history: View specific player history for a raid to see how and when a player moved from activity to standby to offline and back during a raid.
  • No list tracking: Players can be tracked as non-raid list and non-standby players as needed. Players that go offline are automatically taken out of the raid and wait list groups for tracking purposes.
  • Integrated wait list: Receive whispers from members outside of the raid group in order to track them.

Boss kills

  • Boss kill tracking: Tracks the world bosses killed during the course of a raid and the raid list members present for the kill.
  • Boss kill removal: The user can remove tracked boss kills on demand.
  • Manual boss kill: The user can add a boss kill to the current raid at the current time with the current roster via the config UI

  • Loot tracking: Tracks loot received during a raid based on configurable item level quality (default: Epic item level or higher)
  • Loot removal: The user can remove specific pieces of loot on demand.
  • Loot exclusion: The user can manage loot exclusion which will prevent certain pieces of loot from being tracked during a raid.

  • Export: Users can export current raid attendance and received loot information to one of a number of formats (CSV, XML, Text, EQdkp XML string, phpBB forum post, phpBB with ItemStats forum post).

  • Boss kill broadcast: The user can optionally broadcast when the raid kills a boss to a configurable chat channel.
  • Loot broadcast: The user can optionally broadcast when a player receives a valid piece of loot to a configurable chat channel.

  • Fault tolerance: If the mod owner quits WoW, restarts WoW, or reloads their UI during a raid and returns to the game, HeadCount2 will attempt to gracefully recover from the outage to continue tracking the active raid.
  • Attendance delay: Configure how often HeadCount should manage attendance updates to increase or decrease performance and/or accuracy.

im using raid lockouts to determine boss event completion instead of a boss dying. some events not being caught maybe a result of localization. I have raided in 2 weeks so no chance to get some data. i should be raiding tonight and I can double check whats going on.

The EqDKP Plus problem is not solved that KGBAgent75's commented on. He has not followed up but I can verify version 1.0.7 is not working while version 1.0.6 is. His comment: http://www.wowace.com/addons/head-count-2/?page=2#c91

I had to go to older version to record the raid on my site. I also had to change the site settings from "EqDKP plus XML" to plain "EqDKP/MLDKP 1.1"

Now I did have version 1.0.7 installed when the raid was recorded, just could not export with it. Regressing to older version allowed me to. 2 additional problems: - mod failed to detect Conclave of Wind as a boss - mod failed to detect Omnitron Defense System as a boss

I did have Mizu's RT installed as well which did detect those bosses just fine. That mod is what used the "EqDKP plus XML" setting for it's export. I really do prefer your built in wait list option and in game layout a bit better and hope you can patch those issues so I can go back to using HC all the time.

Any way to have an Export List made up for WowStead websites? I have to manually to an export and modify it to do the item linking but figured I would ask for an update here. Below you will see in bold what they do to pull info from the armory and from the mmo-champions DB for items.

    The Bastion of Twilight (10 Player) 3/8/2011 19:53:27 - 3/8/2011 23:17:48

    Players: [character:Anarche] (Shaman) Raid: 03:23:16, Standby: 00:00:00, Offline: 00:00:00 [character:Cryj] (Druid) Raid: 03:23:59, Standby: 00:00:00, Offline: 00:00:00 [character:Felidae] (Hunter)

so on and so on for the members attending and for for loot pretty much the same...

Boss kills: Halfus Wyrmbreaker at 3/8/2011 20:44:14 Magmaw at 3/8/2011 22:11:04

Loot: [item:Bracers of the Bronze Flight] by [character:Leia] (Cost: 0) [item:Malevolence] by [character:Shadestajr] (Cost: 0)

and so on and so on again for all loot picked up on the run. If I knew how to code I'd make the change myself... Sadly I am not thus asking for it here... :) Thanks and hope this can happen.

I seem to be having trouble getting the UI to show up for Headcount2. I try /hc2 config and all i get is the window with a check box on the upper left side that says debug. I don't get the icon on the mini map like with the old headcount. I see that its installed but i cant get any config options. /hc2 tracker brings up a blank UI as well. What am i doing wrong? Thanks

raid attendance blank for me also in 1.0.7-2, haven't tried any of the newer ones. 1.0.3 was the one i'd had previous and it was still showing up.

would also love a way to export that attendance snapshot, even if via copy/paste.

Arcedis weird, ill have to investigate Jiminimonka: I have seen this issue yet. Determination your sucessfully killed a boss is based on the raid lockout updating to say the boss is defated. I may need to add a blacklist entry for the head maybe thats cuasing it

Got a little bug, when we wipe on Magmaw, HeadCount 2 reports it as a boss kill for some reasonl. No problem with any other bosses so far.

    Thanks for keeping HC going.

It would be nice if the phpbb export function also included the Attendance Overview. our guild ranking system is based on raid attendance among other things. being able to post a weekly or monthly export to phpbb, csv etc would rock!

Great work Kagaro. Cannot live without this one. My only suggestion might be to make the main and secondary windows taller to reduce the amount of scrolling necessary on long loot lists. Modified mine, so no worries if you don't implement this.
