This addon is an in-game representation of Kaliban's Class Loot Lists. Kaliban's Class Loot List provides ratings for all raid loot with respect to it's suitability for different class/spec combinations. Vanilla WoW raid gear is rated for each class between 0 to 5 stars, however this addon disregards any rating below 3 stars to reduce the data-set. Outlands and Northrend raid gear is split into Primary, Secondary and Tertiary priority which is displayed in-game using 5 stars, 4 stars and 3 stars respectively. This addon purely displays the ratings given by Kaliban, therefore if you consider a rating to be unjust or incorrect on his website please take it up with him, not me!
Class Loot information can be accessed in two ways, either via item tooltips or through the slash commands.
Item tooltips contain the class loot rating along with the instances the item drops in, and finally the bosses that the item drops from.
- You can check the loot of any raid item by using the following slash commands:
- /cl check <item link> - Personal item check (only visible to you)
- /cl gcheck <item link> - Item check broadcast to Guild Chat
- /cl rcheck <item link> - Item check broadcast to Raid Chat
Configuration of this addon may be performed through the Options -> Interface -> AddOns -> ClassLoot window.
Note: If you you don't think a rating shown is correct, check Kaliban's site to see if it's wrong there FIRST. If it's wrong on Kaliban's site, let him know not me.
Seeing as the curse.com devs appear to be incapable of blocking spam comments being posted (and therefore resulting in me getting spam emails every time), i've disabled curse.com comments. If you wish to leave a comment about ClassLoot, please do so on the ClassLoot WowAce Project Page. Furthermore, if you wish to report bugs (including inconsistancies between Kaliban's site and this addon, please do so on the ClassLoot Ticket Tracker

Thanks.

sammonsn Jun 30, 2010 at 19:21 UTC - 0 likesVery useful addon for my guild which still follows a loot council. Thanks for the time you have spent on this.
I'm hoping you can help me make a change that indicates on the tooltip when it is a BIS for a particular spec/class. Maybe i need to add a new catagory for each spec/class like: HunterBIS or ShamanhealingBIS? or maybe an "extra star" for an item when it is BIS? What would you recommend to be the easiest fix for this?
Also...i would perform the changes manually according to my raiders' decisions upon what is their chosen BIS.
It doesn't seem to be as simple as changing the text in the ClassLoot_Data file, as it just breaks it lol.

edsab Apr 24, 2010 at 16:48 UTC - 0 likesI recently started using this and have found it very helpful. I would like to suggest one option which would make it even more helpful for fast moving raids: currently all the class (spec) text is printed in blue. I'd like to be able to specify one class/spec (mine) to be displayed in a different color so I can immediately see if the item is for my spec. In some cases, an item is appropriate to several classes and it would just be nice to have my spec stand out for easy and quick viewing. Thanks for all your work on this add-on.

Veuilbrock Jan 11, 2010 at 04:01 UTC - 0 likesI i down loaded ClassLoot and i have been trying to use it but things are not coming up this is my process, /cl check *shift click* item item is inserted in /cl check [Prelate's Snowshoes] then enter and it comes back no item found... The Item is listed on Kailiban's Class Loot List I just down loaded the most recent update and replaced the old one with the new one. I am a Guild leader and this has proven to be a must have in the past but for some reason it i just cant seem to get it to work! Thanks

finchna Oct 01, 2009 at 13:00 UTC - 0 likesHi. Thanks for this addon, very useful and helpful!
The Signet of the Earthshaker which drops from 25 XT is showing 5 stars for feral druid. I wonder if feral druid be removed for this ring (or if it needs a star since it's a tank class give it 1 or 2) as there is only a defense rating (no dodge) along with 2 shield block values which, as far as I understand, worthless to bears.
