Chinchilla Minimap

Example 1

Chinchilla Minimap alters the Blizzard Minimap in a way to provide much nicer features and other niceties.

Allows changing of blip size, border style, shape of the map (doesn't have to be circular, or even square, lots of options are available), size, etc.
A more flexible north-east-south-west indicator.
Show your location coordinates.
Make the minimap very big temporarily (good for gathering or finding a tough-to-spot enemy).
Show the name of your location more flexibly.
Move Buttons
Move the buttons around the minimap to wherever you want (even off the minimap entirely).
Show which team-mate pinged the minimap.
Position the minimap and frames around it.
Range Circle
Show on the minimap where your range extends to.
Show / Hide
Show or hide various frames related to the minimap.
Tracking Dots
Change the dots on the map to a different set of images. Very handy, especially if you suffer from colour-blindness
Use the mouse-wheel to zoom the minimap and zoom out the map automatically after 20 seconds (or so).

    Blizzard have added an extra tracking option: Points of Interest.
    Open up the tracking menu and click on it to add a tick if there isn't one there already.

    A "hide in combat" option sort of already exists.
    Go to the Appearance section of the config and set the Combat Alpha option to zero.

    Add 'Hide in Combat' option in the next release please. Here is my Code Sample

    local function CombatHide()
    	if db.hideincombat then
    		Chinchilla:SetScript("OnEvent", function(self,event)
    					if event == "PLAYER_REGEN_DISABLED" then

    Is anyone else having trouble with directional arrows showing up in the minimap? Mine decided to disappear for some reason (the arrows that point you to a nearby town, is what I'm referring to).

    Hey, I'm still having blip problems after I installed this last ver. Sorry. Chinchilla is still the best minimap addon though :)

    Excuse the ring. It was the way I was switching out the PocketPlot Blips for the GlassSphere Blips, just had to copy and paste the blips into the Blip-GlasSpheres file instead of replacing it.

    I have fixed the blips. This and more stuff will be included when Version 2.2.1 goes live later.

    Is it just me, or are the tracking dots not working properly? All of the non-Blizzard dots appear to be stretched vertically and cut in half. I miss my Nandini dots. :(

    I already have! :)

    Download any version after 2.0.9, open up the configuration with '/chinchilla', click on Position, scroll down until you see "Quest and Achievement Tracker" and tick the checkbox next to it.

    An orange box will appear over the WatchFrame and you will be able to drag it to wherever you want!

    (no companion cubes were harmed in the making of the orange box)
