it looks like the addon stopped properly working in the new 10.1.5 patch, settings do nothing and sometimes frames flickering, update please if possible, thanks
upd: i found that the settings work but only after /reload and with "Enhanced Raid Frames" addon disabled but before the patch they worked together :(
Seconding a request for an update for Dragonflight! Several other addons also adjust out-of-range alpha, but they all include additional options that change the default UI raidframe graphics/fonts, which (personally) I am not looking for.
But the compact raid frames are already unlockable/movable. There is just 1 screenshot and the video, I don't see any difference between them, it should be the same for tbcc and retail. The options are just the 2 sliders, yes
I'd have to say this is normal, the function that checks the range of a unit gets called every OnUpdate frame, even when the blizzard raid frames aren't shown. They mentioned it in their code...
--DEBUG FIXME - We should really try to avoid having OnUpdate on every frame. An event when going in/out of range would be greatly preferred.
function CompactUnitFrame_OnUpdate(self, elapsed)
CompactUnitFrame_UpdateInRange(self);
CompactUnitFrame_UpdateDistance(self);
CompactUnitFrame_CheckReadyCheckDecay(self, elapsed);
end
The addon is only hooking that one function, even just as an empty hook it would take around 2.50ms/s in idle mode. I could try to make it slightly more efficient but I think blizzard code is relatively the biggest cpu hog
We could also ask Blizzard kindly to add a cvar or global for controlling the alpha instead of having to hook it
Am i missing something obvious? :P Is it possible to set the range in yards for the fade? e.g. Fade frame when it is at 30yds or 40 yds?
thanks for any advice :))
It fades out at the same distance as the default raid frames at 40 yards.
Currently it does not support changing the fade out distance but it might be possible. I never really considered that before.

Hey,
Would it be possible to include a party/raid frame lock/unlock feature similar to player frame etc.
Also the options i see differ from these screen shots, is that maybe just a tbcc vs retail thing? are your options just the 2 sliders?
Thanks

Eventhough I really love this addon, is this normal?
https://prnt.sc/l06c75
It's a major CPU hog for some reason :/
