XLoot Frame

Notes about new version and the major changes made

If you are experiencing more than one problem, please make sure you completely remove XLoot and download it fresh from here or the Curse Client.

After that, please create or comment on a existing ticket with your error(s)

All options are available via /xloot or Interface -> AddOns -> XLoot (/xlm toggles Monitor's anchors, /xlg toggles Group's)

XLoot is a small group of addons which improve looting in WoW by replacing default frames.

XLoot Frame
Replaces the Loot Frame, adding more information and behavior/appearance options.
XLoot Group
Replaces Group Loot frames, modifies Loot Alerts/Bonus Roll frame
Group frames display current roll choices, the rolled numbers, and the winner.
If you experience any problems rolling on items, please disable XLoot Group and post a report with any error.
I understand this may cause you to lose out on a item, which is extremely unfortunate.
However, I am unable to debug it myself as I no longer play, but welcome any errors or volunteer debugging efforts.
The rest of XLoot can be used safely without Group.
XLoot Monitor
Shows a "toaster" for looting items, similar to Guild Wars 2, allowing you to either more visibly see what you and others loot, or remove loot messages from your chat box all together.
XLoot Master
Provides a more convenient Master Looter menu

Any of these modules (Frame, Group, Monitor, Master) can be disabled like any other addon if you do not want their functionality.

Masque Skins

Not all Masque skins will work without adjustment.

Please see XLoot\skins.lua (Comments at the top) and then XLoot\SKIN_TWEAKS.lua (See examples and add tweak for skin here)

Old versions

I understand that these are large changes and may take adjustment. If you have suggestions as to how to improve the mod or something you want from the old version, please let me know.

If you are offended by these changes, a mop-compatible version will remain here but will not be supported: http://www.wowace.com/addons/xloot/files/429-mop-3-release/

I welcome your feedback.

I haven't figured out exactly how it's broken, so as it is it apparently works for most people in most situations.

    is group fixed yet?

Sorry about the problems you've been having.

I'm aware of the existence of occasional problems with group, which is unfortunate as it can cause people to miss out on items.

Unfortunately I no longer play (And haven't for going on two years), so I really am not in a situation to debug and fix it.

I'm going to note this in the addon description, as most people don't think to disable Group like you did.

Had to disable the Group part, it would present a roll prompt but it didn't work part of the time and wouldn't let me roll on items when it didn't. Tried moving it around and that didn't fix it. So, I guess I just won't be able to see how many people are rolling on what; I still use the loot frame.

    z14e-release version.

Edit: I just uninstalled all of it and used something else.

If the anchor is showing up without you showing it, there's another problem going on.. It shouldn't do that.

If you just mean "Tracking" the rolls, you can always just turn off roll tracking and rolls will disappear as soon as you roll on them. (There's other options as well, such as for items you roll on)

Regardless of what else, they should always disappear [the chosen time after] loot is awarded.

I may be an edge case, although maybe people who predominately use LFR/LFD like me might find knowing who rolled what number, and need, greed, or DE, and having that info sit there a bit much.

For guild runs, I might use it, especially if I was raid leader and needed to double check, but 99% of the time, the module just takes up screen space, and I either ignore it or have to close it repeatedly (the anchor thing).

That's why I suggested an in-game toggle of Show or Hide, which eliminates ACP reloading the UI; or some better way of fading out and hiding the loot rolls, wins, and once all loot is awarded, hiding the frame until more loot drops.

Currently, I have it set to only show my purple gear, but if I bump it to legendary, that might solve my issue in a workaround fashion.

I think I came off a bit condescending. It's just surprising to me the different ways people use and approach addons, and catching on rough spots helps me fix them.

Do you need to enable/disable it on a regular basis? If so, I would think a better combination of settings to limit the amount of things that show up might be more efficient.

Otherwise you can just do it on the addon page when you go to log in (though I use ACP myself, it's convenient)

I did notice it was its own AddOn, and will use AddOn Control Panel to disable the Monitor. What I did not know is that the X is the anchor; I should have guessed, however. I may play with the fade timer and see how that goes.

All in all, however, I really like XLoot!

There is no "Load monitor but don't turn it on" option, I had no idea that people aren't familiar with simply not loading addons they don't want to use.. but apparently that's a thing, though.

Also the X doesn't "close" it, that's just the anchor. Anchors are commonly used frames to let you position something, and once positioned are meant to be hidden.

You can also lower the time it takes to fade out rows if you like it but don't want to see it much.

I'm not sure what you mean by "fade when all the loot is distributed like group", since it has nothing to do with loot being rolled on (where that's all group does)

Is it possible to turn off the XLoot Monitor altogether? Some setting I can't spot, maybe? I like that it removes loot messages from my chat window, but the frame itself can get annoying. I click the X to close it, and as soon as more items are looted, it pops open again.

Just looking for a toggle, because sometimes I would want it on (if I was Master Looter, or Raid Leader), but most of the time I want it off.

Either that, or have it fade when all the loot is distributed, like XLoot Group.
