82 - Team Growth Issues

I've been thinking today about issues surrounding team growth and team management.

It might be nice to create a mailing list of some kind to easily distribute messages to everyone on the team.  For example if I plan to go on vacation, to tell everyone I'll be unresponsive for 2 weeks ... or when a new person joins the team, to send an introductory email to the rest of the team saying "please welcome Aetharan" to the team, the way I'd get an email like that at work.

It might also be nice to create a web page with little bios on each member of the team, their role on the team, and their level of involvement.

The team isn't big enough at this time to merit such things, but as I would like to grow the team as the project grows, these kinds of issues will become more important.

Noting this ticket here mostly for tracking purposes and to keep a record of my thoughts on this issue over time.

Also open to comments on this subject from anyway, as well as working with anyone who is interested in volunteering to join the team.

I'm trying to clean up the tickets somewhat down to things I intend to do "soon" This ticket was inspired by Aetharan volunteering to help out, and at the time I was also considering inviting a couple of other enthusiastic fans into the mix as well. But after taking a month off, and reviewing the scope of the project now with fresh eyes, and the level of activity from the other members of the team (very little) I find these issues of team management are far from the point of needing any of the things I suggested here. Yet. So I'm declining the ticket because I don't intend to pursue doing any of these things right now, and like I said, I only created it for tracking purposes in the first place.
