Addon Support Statement

Hello everyone. I'm no longer actively playing World of Warcraft (and haven't for many months). I'm looking for someone to take over maintenance of my addons. If you're interested, and have at least one released addon, send me a message at [email protected]

Addon Description

Smart raid loot and DKP tracker with automated standby tracking (using the MagicDKP_Client). New raid bosses will be learned automatically when encountered although on occasion special manual configuration needs to be done. Works for all Burning Crusade 25-man raids and all current WotLK raids.

The addon also supports automatic handling of alts (either manually configured or by scanning guild notes), replacing any alt names with mains before doing the CTRT export.

Changes in 1.0.230

Fixed invalid GUID issue. Unfortunately data recorded since 4.0 is invalid. Any GUID above 65k will be removed but invalid ones might remain.
Added Cataclysm raids to the default data.

I like the addon so far. Before I use it I would like to know where to load my DKP database to start and what kind of file etc. I've looked for some more info on how to use this but can find nothing.
Im only guessing from here.

ok dhedbor we have set up an eqdkp website in an effort to use it with this addon. I tried your dkpdownloader in an effort to pull down the data but got gibberish in the file that wouldn't load up when I logged into the game.

I am trying to figure out how to load up the guilds existing dkp. Can you give me any insight or point me in the right direction.

Just downloaded the 4.0 version, but it only shows BC instances, boss encounters and loot. This is the first time i use MagicDKP, so maybe its just the way it is? i'd like an answer :)

Great fantastic addon collection. Seriously absolutely stunning!

One question for you:

Is there a way to allow multiple bids? And is there a way to announce what the current high bid is whilst people are bidding so people know to bid higher?

Hey - i would love the ability to change minimum bis size - currently 1 dkp
and the second highest bid+ size

we have a minimum bid of 5 - and item goes to second highest +50

you could just tell me waht file to edit it in and i can do it myself

Does anyone use MagicDKP with EQDKP-Plus? If so how do you set this up and is there a write up on the setup? I currently run the current version of EQDKPlus and MagicDKP.

On the Player database, it shows all of my guild, how can i get it filter only the raiders?

The idea is that you, as a non-leader/master looter, just run the addon to make it automatically keep a backup. The current raid data is broadcasted after it changes (with a 5 minute grace period to allow for quick subsequent changes).

Quick question about MagicDKP...for our DKP system we have a fixed bid system, where each item has a cost based on the slot. Players can bid "full", "upgrade" or "offspec", full has priority over upgrade, upgrade has priority over offspec.

Is there any way to configure MagicDKP to allow players to send full/upgrade/offspec bids as opposed to an actual number?

With MagicDKP Client you can specify the priority of your bid. However there is no way to send a bid without an amount (yet). I.e I don't support any kind of fixed DKP handling.

You should really consider building in support for fixed price DKP systems. It seems that there are virtually no in-game mods that handle a fixed price system.

Hi there,
just one question. Ever since you added the new features, i can't get my MagicDKP to log raids anymore. It has to do _something_ 'cause after some time the ram usage rises to 30mb, but there won't be any raid/item history logged. Any idea what could cause this behaviour? Maybe some problem with the german locales? Or maybe i am just stupid. :D

Can try to enable logging in the options. Make sure the addon is enabled to. Also MagicDKP should never use 30 MB by itself - it's like 2-4 MB for me at the moment.

Getting some odd errors.

...AddOns\MagicDKP\Libs\LibDBIcon-1.0\LibDBIcon-1.0.lua:41: LibDBIcon-1.0 requires LibDataBroker-1.1

LibDataBroker is there in the lib directory, it is ver 1.1

disabled all other addons, still got this. (and a ton of other errors which all seems to be related to not being able to use LibDataBroker)
