11 - Ability to pad between combo points

What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?
Ability to add padding to the combo points. Increasing the scale increases the size and breadth in all directions, would like to be able to simply stretch them out from left to right.

    Added in r331. Will make a full release when I get some more fixes/requests done.
