Getting Started

When you first login with this AddOn you will see a black transparent rectangle with a blue bar labeled 'Default', called the encounter pane, in the center of your screen. Shift+Click on it to move it. From left to right you will see:

  1. Stop Icon: Halts the current encounter (you should rarely have to do this)
  2. Menu Icon: Opens the configuration dialog
  3. Folder Icon: Opens a drop down menu to activate encounters
  4. Lock Icon: Toggles frame anchors
  5. Windows Icon: Opens a drop down menu to show interface windows

Also, if you ever hide the pane and can't get it to show, type /dxe for commands. There is also a minimap icon, which can open the configuration dialog.

Mists of Pandaria Update

  • Encounters: Patch 5.2 and 5.4 encounters have been implemented.
  • Features: New Message, Inform and Debuffs alerts and more new Alert Options.

  • Proximity Radar: A customizable radar is now available, too.
  • New Plugin: Lag Tolerance.

Implemented Encounters

  • ThroneOfThunder: All bosses
  • SiegeOfOrgrimmar: All bosses

The encounter files for WotLK can be found here: DXE Old Encounters

Localizations

Please visit the localization page to translate in-game phrases. It is open to anyone with an account. The most important phrases are the chat triggers for bosses, because they start encounters. However, not all encounters are started by chat triggers. The rest of the phrases are for display purposes. The following languages need a maintainer:

  • Korean (koKR)
  • Russian (ruRU)
  • Simplified Chinese (zhCN)
  • Spanish (esES)
  • Traditional Chinese (zhTW)
  • Brazilian Portuguese (ptBR)
  • Latin American Spanish (esMX)

Credits

  • Code/Inspiration - RDX, BigWigs, DBM
  • Coding and Testing - Mäev
  • Pane Buttons - Kassay
  • Translations - Pettigrow (frFR), Junkie/Fearendon (deDE), horws (ruRU), and everyone else

My times are without the phase transition, it's just from when they first act in the combat log. Granted, not the best way to check, but I don't know of any other way.

P.S. Wow, took me almost a minute to realise g isn't actually part of the commit ID :-P. But, after that, that spell still isn't in the latest version. :-)

I forgot to mention, I don't start the timer until AFTER the phase transition is over.

Aside two attempts tonight where we hit the enrage, this is what I based that on: http://wolfheart.ro/~gcbirzan/beasts.txt

For the spellid: Wasn't in g9f436a6, which is the latest released version.

I'm pretty sure the Jormungar phase is 2:46 after doing a bunch of attempts. If you add in the phase transition it's 3:01 (2:46 + 15 second transition). I got 3:03 as the lowest bound for Icehowl's enrage (w/o phase transition). Is Gormok's enrage 3:00 without the initial intro? I'll add in that spellid, thanks.

Edit: I already added in the spellid before

True, sorry for the misinformation, that fight is a bit weird in terms of enrage timers. Icehowl's enrage was anywhere from 3:00 to 3:05 on the 4 attempts where we hit it. The worms' was always 2:59/3:00 for us, not 2:46 as you're using. For Gormok, we never had more than 3:00. Granted, the times are from the first time the mob appears in the combat log, which might not always be exactly when it becomes active... Also, Frothing Rage's ID on 25 man heroic is 67659.

Fearendon: Yes, I'll add it soon

gzbirzan: I made the timers more accurate. What you said wasn't entirely accurate.

Could you add a warning for Snobolds throwing Firebombs, the Spell-IDs are 67472, 67473 and 66320. I don't know the Spell-ID for Heroic 25.
