Deus Vox Encounters (DXE) is a boss mod inspired by RDX. It is designed to be functional, efficient, and customizable, so you can change what you want and how you see this addon.

  • Automated: Activation, starting, and stopping of encounters is automatic
  • Flexible alert system:
    • Customizable timer bars

    • All alerts can be adjusted for all encounters
    • Audio countdowns can be activated for certain encounter alerts
  • Raid Icons: Marking on important events with an icon of your choosing
  • 3D Arrow: Directional arrows tells you where to go on important events
    • Two types:
      • Away: Directs you to run from a player or a location
      • Toward: Directs you to run to a player or a location
    • Ability to play a sound when shown
    • Displays your distance, to a player or location, in game yards
  • Encounter Pane
    • Boss health tracking gives you more awareness of fights
    • Engage timer tells you how long you've been fighting
    • Shortcut buttons provides easier access to common commands
    • Conditions to show the pane only when you want to
  • Version Check: View addon and encounter versions of raid members
  • Distribution System: Allows you to send encounters to the raid or individual players
  • Profile System: Switch settings between your characters
  • Modular Design: Encounters are loaded in appropriate zones
  • SharedMedia support

Getting Started

When you first login with this AddOn you will see a black transparent rectangle with a blue bar labeled 'Default', called the encounter pane, in the center of your screen. Shift+Click on it to move it. From left to right you will see:

  1. Stop Icon: Halts the current encounter (you should rarely have to do this)
  2. Menu Icon: Opens the configuration dialog
  3. Folder Icon: Opens a drop down menu to activate encounters
  4. Lock Icon: Toggles frame anchors
  5. Windows Icon: Opens a drop down menu to show interface windows

Also, if you ever hide the pane and can't get it to show, type /dxe for commands. There is also a minimap icon, which can open the configuration dialog.

Warlords of Draenor Update

  • Encounters: Highmaul and BlackRock Foundry have been implemented.
  • Party Module: Party support has been added.
  • World Boss Module: World Bosses support has been added.
  • Features: More new Alert Options and Spell descriptions on Options.

Please visit the localization page to translate in-game phrases. It is open to anyone with an account. The most important phrases are the chat triggers for bosses, because they start encounters. However, not all encounters are started by chat triggers. The rest of the phrases are for display purposes. The following languages need a maintainer:

  • Korean (koKR)
  • Russian (ruRU)
  • Simplified Chinese (zhCN)
  • Spanish (esES)
  • Traditional Chinese (zhTW)
  • Brazilian Portuguese (ptBR)
  • Latin American Spanish (esMX)

    I think it has to do with the new Ace 3 :( need to update stuff to work with the new ace changes

    EDIT: Well got it working again. Had to download an old Ace 3 and an old version of arkinventory that didn't have the newest libraries

    EDITx2: So Atramedes counter worked but it seemed to be decreasing by either 2 or 3 for each gong hit.

    This is with the changes i posted before.

    I've made alot of changes to actual core stuff, honestly.

    Some of which is required for the new encounter files I tossed out.

    Every number jump I've put out is either a bug fix or a major update change.

    Shaung, did you change the libraries? I am getting errors in the loader and can't open the config anymore

    Might I suggest removing the encounters for Citadel, Argent, Halion, and whatever at 80 for cleanliness.

    i fixed some syntax errors..descent should load this way :)

    Blackwing Decent does not load for me with the latest version

    "alert", "aegiscd",

    That said, the aegiscd will work well for the first one (sync'd with first glaciate roughly) but after that it doesn't sync up. If its a timer people care about I'll try and find the correct timing for it.

    Malandris - thanks! doing too much stuff leads to silly errors =/ I really need to figure out how to turn on some kind of basic testing for this, lol.

    anyway, I'm posting it with, hopefully, fix'd atramedes/maloriak add counters. If anyone hasn't killed them yet this week I'd love to hear about it if they work!

    Shuang, I believe for the counters on the events you need to do something like

    "set", {shieldcounter_current = "DECR|1"},

    instead of

    "set", {shieldcounter_current, "DECR|1"},

    Same with Maloriak. But we haven't done Atramedes yet this week (will do it tonight) and Maloriak didn't work as I hadn't looked at the code yet. I will let you know how my changes work on Atramedes.

    I also think I fixed my halfus bug on my end. Also I will post a Valiona/Theralion page that has CDs for Blackout/Flame breath/Engulfing magic next week if they work correctly.

    I'm not sure if this works, because I genuinly suck at addons. But I would assume that after I added "aegiscd" it should start showing the CD on it on the start of the fight? Cause the cd-timer is already in the LUA i have atm.

    Ya.. the shadow nova thing is less of a encounter file error as an oversight in the invoker. Which should be fix'd now, the flashtime gets parsed as well now :)

    btw, 25 normals I didn't get *any* of the Maloriak stuff working, and the shield counter for Atramedes didn't work. 1 shots means little time to tweak things though =/

    On the upside, since we got heroic halfus I'll soon have much much much more time to test stuff on these bosses o0.
