Getting Started

When you first login with this AddOn you will see a black transparent rectangle with a blue bar labeled 'Default', called the encounter pane, in the center of your screen. Shift+Click on it to move it. From left to right you will see:

  1. Stop Icon: Halts the current encounter (you should rarely have to do this)
  2. Menu Icon: Opens the configuration dialog
  3. Folder Icon: Opens a drop down menu to activate encounters
  4. Lock Icon: Toggles frame anchors
  5. Windows Icon: Opens a drop down menu to show interface windows

Also, if you ever hide the pane and can't get it to show, type /dxe for commands. There is also a minimap icon, which can open the configuration dialog.

Mists of Pandaria Update

  • Encounters: Patch 5.2 and 5.4 encounters have been implemented.
  • Features: New Message, Inform and Debuffs alerts and more new Alert Options.
  • Localization: Please visit the localization page for Mists of Pandaria translations.
  • Proximity Radar: A customizable radar is now available, too.
  • New Plugin: Lag Tolerance.

Implemented Encounters

  • ThroneOfThunder: All bosses
  • SiegeOfOrgrimmar: All bosses

The encounter files for WotLK can be found here: DXE Old Encounters

Localizations

Please visit the localization page to translate in-game phrases. It is open to anyone with an account. The most important phrases are the chat triggers for bosses, because they start encounters. However, not all encounters are started by chat triggers. The rest of the phrases are for display purposes. The following languages need a maintainer:

  • Korean (koKR)
  • Russian (ruRU)
  • Simplified Chinese (zhCN)
  • Spanish (esES)
  • Traditional Chinese (zhTW)
  • Brazilian Portuguese (ptBR)
  • Latin American Spanish (esMX)

Hello Maev, I wanted to begin by thanking you for putting your time and effort into updating such an incredible add-on. Many of my guildies are eagerly awaiting an SoO version so we can stop using bigwigs/dbm.

I understand the reasoning you have behind not wanting to test in guild runs, but as someone who's currently doing full clears of normal SoO as well as progressing on the heroic bosses, I would gladly test it for you if need be (I know the mechanics, so I can tell if timers are missing for certain things or incorrectly timed), if that would help in any way. I'm not sure if you have access to my email through this website, but if not, you can contact me at [email protected]

    Godspeed.

    @dkmyirl: Go

    thanks dkmyirl

it will come, i had really bad weeks in real life, close family funeral was last one

anyway...i already reply on curse, didn't make yet spoils and paragon and others didn't even had time to do a LFR or Flex and even less for Guild to test them but will have time this weekend (hopelly)

i hope to progress some this week and release next week what i've got to people that want to test it (not recommend it for guild runs yet)

it will come, i'm not kind of a person to not finish what i promise to do

Maev81 your work reviving this addon through ToT was heroic and can't be underestimated.

However I'm getting the fear since it's a few weeks since any comment regarding SoO. Can you put us out of our misery and say if it's going to happen.

I can happily wait patiently if I'm certain it's coming. I'm just not committing to any other boss mod until you say this is dead.

I can't get rid of the adulterous feelings I get when I smile at BigWigs and say " I really like you, but.........".

and its just me doing this :\
