Getting Started

When you first login with this AddOn you will see a black transparent rectangle with a blue bar labeled 'Default', called the encounter pane, in the center of your screen. Shift+Click on it to move it. From left to right you will see:

  1. Stop Icon: Halts the current encounter (you should rarely have to do this)
  2. Menu Icon: Opens the configuration dialog
  3. Folder Icon: Opens a drop down menu to activate encounters
  4. Lock Icon: Toggles frame anchors
  5. Windows Icon: Opens a drop down menu to show interface windows

Also, if you ever hide the pane and can't get it to show, type /dxe for commands. There is also a minimap icon, which can open the configuration dialog.

  • Party Module: Party support has been added.

    I think the Pane -> Show pane... -> Only if engaged option is broken. I still see the pane window even if I'm not in combat.

    Just want to say awesome job on this boss mod. It's very nice to see that you decided to make updates for the public again. I really missed it. :)

    And so far, you are owning the crap out of the other boss mods out there in firelands.

    @autobot200: Go

    Try the new alpha that's coming in a few minutes. I fixed an error that prevented the Firelands module from loading. Sorry.

    Nice to see this addon getting updated once again, but for some reason i cant seem to get the firelands encounters to load, even when i go to test the bars, when i select firelands and hit load it just disappears. Not sure if i did something when installing it cause i was in a rush to raid and installed it fast (with wow not loaded). Anyone else getting this?

    Thank you :)

    I'll be writing proper tickets for fireland progress, until then i'm just forumtrolling around

    @temp123456: Go Yeah, I just found the typo. Sorry, again. *sigh* It works now, I tested it myself with a similar debuff.

    That's what you (meaning: I) get, when you take over such a project in the middle of heroic progress...

    Did manage to get the first 2 meteorite in a row on me, but sadly still without any visual or audio warning.

    well, thank you, i'll try it when the guild gets there again. I'll file tickets if i find something. Generally, nothing else was wrong, i just missed some extra "debuff on self" warnings to differentiate boss skill casting on someone in raid or myself (compensating with poweraura warnings, so it is a simple aura code too)

    PS.: But don't forget completely how to do those non-aura detections yet. This addon did a very good job at LK Defile and there may be occasions where we would need these kind of accuracy again.

    Thank you. and : Good job, man ;)

    @temp123456: Go

    I fixed the meteorite detection for Valiona in the newest alpha. It should work like PowerAuras now, rather than guessing if you are a potential target. Perhaps you can give DXE another chance? :) And by all means, please file tickets for any missing alerts or improvements you think should be included. I'm pretty much done with the current tier, so I don't get to test the encounter files for longer than 1 try. Any help is appreciated and bugs will be fixed!
