54 - Quest Progression to Party Chat

“Quest Progression to Party Chat” can be helpful when questing with friends or guild mates, but it can also be annoying to other members of the group if it is left on when in a Raid or in Battleground, and although it is only a few mouse clicks and key strokes to enable or disable the feature, it is a bit awkward to do so for each type of group one joins.

Would it be possible to modify “Quest Progression to Party Chat” so it would post the messages in Party Chat (/p) but would NOT post the messages in Raid Chat (/raid)?

    Hey,

no he just means that the addon shouldn't post Quest Progression automatically to a chat you are currently inside. At this moment beql knows automatically in which group you are ( Party, Raid and Battleground). So if you are busy with a quest and you are currently just in a party beql is posting to the party but if you got an invite to a raid beql is aware of that and is posting QuestProgression to raidchannel.

What he means is that beql becomes an extra option for that like:
    ___________________________________
    Send QuestProgression to:
    Party
    Raid
    Battleground
( and here the option as beql works now )
Automatic detect in which group you are
    ___________________________________

If you set it to Party it should only post to party and if you got an invite in a raid it should although post progression only to party and not to raid anymore :)

As it stands now, Quest Progression is posted to Party Chat or to Raid Chat; depending on the type of group you are currently in if the “Quest Progression to Party Chat” option has been selected.

I like the option to send Quest Progression to Party Chat, it is often helpful, however if I forget to turn it off when I join a Raid or enter a Battleground I almost always receive complaints from other members of the Raid group.

I would like Quest Progression to post ONLY in Party Chat (the chat which is accesses with the “/p” command) when the “Quest Progression to Party Chat” option has been selected.

I would like to have Quest Progression NOT post in RAID Chat (the chat that is accessed with the “/raid” command) when the “Quest Progression to Party Chat” option has been selected.

“Quest Progression to RAID Chat” might be added as an option for players who want to send Quest Progression to Raid Chat.

    Come, my friends,
'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
Push off, and sitting well in order smite
The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds
To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths
Of all the western stars, until I die.

Hmm let me repeat your request for better understanding.

If you are in a group you will trasmit Quest Progression to group

if you are in a raid you will transmit your Quest Progression to raid (or party or noone?)

and if you are in a BG you will trnasmit you quest progression to noone ( or party or bg)
