Holy Power Bar (settings don't stick) #969

Using the latest release as of  28Oct2010, the Holy Power Bar doesn't work at log in. The bar can be fixed by clicking the "Dock with player" button, regardless of it being unchecked or checked. One click fixes it. However, every reload, log in, or zone change (Cross-Continent, enter/exit instance) causes it to return to the default position on the screen, and does not work.

It seems that the holy power bar can't be moved by X-Perl (There's a round about way to do it, I'll explain later. Let me know if that's intended), so why bother with a "Docked with player" button and just make it default?

To move the holy power bar:
Select both to Show and Dock with Player.
Move the player frame so that where the bar is docked is where you want the bar to be displayed.
De-select both show and dock with player.
Move the player frame back to where desired (or load from saved profiles)
Select show for special bars. The Holy Power bar appears where it was when options were deselected, and functions as proper until some event that causes a loading screen. After the load, it's then no longer functioning and back to the default position.

I still don't want to touch this shit because someone want put that option for other non-DK classes and not really test them fully, then shit happens...

    :\

the problem is xperl stores a few options globally, instead of saving it per char, that's one of them, if you turn off warlock shards for example, then you also turned off holy power on your alt. that whole system needs to be redone properly but i'm hoping zek does it eventually.

and the docking option was never meant to be used with anything but dks, it wasn't actually added feature, the option is only there so you can toggle it and fix position on a paladin after using a DK that had a different option.

That explains why my druid's eclipse bar is jerked up, mysticalos.

I like to have my rune bar up near my target and stuff in the lower center part of my screen so I can see when they refresh... but it breaks my eclipse bar. That shouldn't be a global option.

It almost 1 year and no more update or something so just close this old ticket, I guess they already fixed or can't fix or whatever.

Anyway, If you have problem with current X-Perl alpha/release versions, feel free to report them again. :D
