Xperl doesn't seem to want to update raid groups and I keep having to refer to the Blizzard raid window to check what group I'm in. Last night during Galakras, I was assigned to group 1 for towers, but Xperl still showed me as being in group 3, which resulted in me looking like a baddie for a couple of minutes.

Any way to fix this issue? The "Sort by role" option is turned off, and I've tried enabling and disabling it multiple times with no result. I am using the latest version (3.7.5)

I had this same issue for months. It would even throw offline people on the bench in groups 6/7/8 into groups 1-5, completely screwing me up. Eventually was forced to switch to Grid. Fix this and I would definitely switch back.

Does such problems will be fixed itself by reloading all addons(use /reload)?

I hadn't raided since TOT but just started up recently and am having the same exact problem. Initial groups in ten man, flex, and LFR do not read correctly and when raid leader moves ppl around xperl is not recognizing that either. I've reloaded in game and deleted and reinstalled xperl and still have the same problem. Makes it very very clunky for a disc priest using POH. I love my xperl - help!

It sounds like something messed up in X-Perl Raid addons. Already some users reported their Raidframe ordering didn't sync to actual situations when their RL/RAs changing the raid members around...but since Asixandur can't reproducing or get same problem with exact ways, I guess we needed more information about "how to get this problem happens 100% blah blah"...

I'm having exact same issue I did mod a few things on xperl so maybe messing with them might make this error I'm not sure. I reduced the size of the raid icons, move the frames a bit higher (all groups) I enabled "show role icon" but it seems like "sort by role" is on or something yet it is not.

It might be one of my settings i dunno but if not it may be a conflict with my other addons.

I have screenshot every setting of my xperl so you can duplicate:

If my xperl setting appear alright here is a list of my addons so maybe you can duplicate the problem if my setting aren't the issue.

I want to fix that because it's definitely because of my mess with sort by role option (which I actually use, so I don't keep my raid frames the normal way anymore).

Are your frames sorted by role even if the setting is turned off or they are just not correctly updating groups?

PS 1: A temporary workaround for not being trapped with this bug is to enable the setting that shows your group on top of your player frame so that you can see which group you are actually in.

PS 2: Also, I can't see your image on imageshack, it doesn't load up. I would also consider a bug in the game that doesn't send the GROUP_ROSTER_UPDATE event. Maybe it could be related with the recent cross-realm changes.

Its seems like it is sorting by roll even though it is not checked, but if the lead moves DPS around they move but that tanks seem to always be in group 1 ....Im really not sure though,I will watch it closer and report back after I raid again to verify this, but i think that might be it.. here are my settings I moved them to a new picture server, hopefully you can see them all.

I know the workaround but its pretty annoying to not trust my xperl raid layout, all i know is my current group with that method and have no idea about any other groups.

If you have any more suggestions,ideas or have any questions I will be watching this thread closely.

I will also get a few screenshot of the actual problem in the raid, if i can remember to do so lol

I've actually seen this problem on my friend's computer yesterday but toggling the sort by role option (even in the middle of the raid) fixed the problem. Still don't know if today the problem comes back. I don't know why but my hot fix in 3.7.1 didn't work so well.

Also can you try using the alpha version because i'm already using that (even if my friend doesn't).

If you mean get alpha version "r868", if you look through my settings i posted below I am pretty sure i am using that version.

Unless you mean a different alpha version if so send me a link, tell me the version, or pass me a direct link please, i would be happy to try it.

Hi, im having the same issue where my raid frames are not updating when the raid gets changed around. So my char has say group 2 on and the raid frames show me in group 2 but after a change it stays the same and ive been moved to a different group but the frames dont update. Hoping and update comes soon as i don't like any other raid frame addons :)

Hello there :( I too am having the same problem! The worst part is? Everything was working fine until yesterday. (July 18th) my realm and a bunch of others had major hiccups and suffered from disconnects and extreme lag issues so when I was able to log back on, my entire X-Perl settings were wiped?! I was really confused.

SO I downloaded the latest version r868 and my Raid Frames are totally botched. I put myself in Group 2 and it doesn't show me there and if I try to move others into Group 2 or Group 3, they don't show either.

I have no idea what happened but am hoping you guys can locate the problem. I cannot play WoW without X-Perl, been using it since Wrath! D:

Now I did try to use an older version, r861 and that as well doesn't fix the Raid Frames.

I'm just confused because like I said before yesterday? I never had a problem and I was infact USING an older version! So I'm wondering if this is on Blizzard's end somehow? Because why would the r861 (the ONE I was using) worked fine until yesterday?

Now BOTH versions aren't? Strange. :|

Everything else works just fine but our Raid Frames.

Try to wipe your settings manually, you may have some broken ones.
