WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) is a World of Warcraft addon which brings an instant messenger feel to communication in game.

Known Issues

Addons can not process messages while chat is in lock down. To get around this, WIM logs all events and then rebuilds and processes them once you have excited lock down. During this time, chat is routed as normal to the default chat frame so you don't miss anything. Unfortunately, /r and similar keybindings to reply during this time will NOT work. Allowing the default chat frame to handle these events cause severe tainting issues and breaks everything.
Community Chat is now supported. It comes with limitations though because the sender name and message are protected and can not be read by addons or saved.

Thanks! Can't describe in words how much i luv this. Not just for friends, but i have found it is super for Guild recruiting. When i use Naz or a Macro to spam recruit, i can see and answer all the whispers i get just by mousing over the WIM button on Titan Panel. Never miss a beat with this!

---the "ignore" feature on wim doesn't work anymore
---cannot do /w player anymore, it does nothing
---having more than 2 whispers "Open" (even if the box is closed) leads to low FPS in a raid instance which sucks because I'm a gm/raidleader and I have to keep closing out the whispers entirely on the minimap button

i absolutely love this addon and have been using it since you first put it up here so I hope you continue to work on it and can get these things fixed :)

Ok now that i installed this addon i get it were it opens my "Who List" and types in a random name. The name always has a "n-" in front like "n-Grimsheeper"

Hello. My problem is I am the master of my guild, and this version control blocking me from the guild. I can not change ranges, permits the bank, etc.. The latest version is 3.2.2 correct operation. sorry for my bad English.

I absolutely love WIM and its by far the best thing since sliced bread. However its blocking the battle.net real-id so i have to disable WIM in order to view my friends list. I knw alot of people have mentioned this but can you pretty pls try and bring out a fix for it.

I have had to disable WIM for the time being, as there seems to be a problem with it. In the last few weeks, while every I am both in a raid group and inside a raid instance (only seems to happen then), my whisper replies lag horrendously. I can receive whispers fine, but when i type a reply nothing comes up. anything else I type will not some up. they are also not being recieved by the recipient cos i have tested it. Then, somewhere between 15 and 30 mins later, ALL of my replies suddenly come up in one big lump. I have not changed any other addons recently, so I don't know why its just started happening.
As the Gm of the guild, I get a lot of whispers, and I find this is my one 'cant live without' addon, but unfortunately, I am having to live without it as this problem is causing me a lot of stress.

Do you have any ideas what might be causing this to happen?
Now I disabled it, my normal whispers work properly, so I dont' think its a connection issue or anything.

So I keep getting a pop up that there's and update available but I can find no updates, I'm using 3.3.7...anyone else getting same problem? I've completely removed the addon and it's saved variables and reinstalled, but I'm still getting this.

downgraded to v3.3.3.3 and still got errors. Bnet doesn't show up unfortunately with wim on.
