FAQ
- What are the numbers in the middle and how to hide them?
- Blue = How many you have
- Green = How many you can make from materials you have.
- Yellow = How many you can make by crafting the reagents.
- Orange = How many you can make if you purchase materials from a vendor.
- Purple = How many you can make using materials on your alts.
Right-click on the bag icon above the numbers.
- How to search in the item name only? - Start your search phrase with exclamation mark: !ink
- How to search in Auction House? - Alt+Click on shopping list
- How to retrieve items from bank? - Turn on "Display shopping list at banks"
- How to turn off Skillet temporarily? - Shift+Click your profession button/link. It also works for View All in your Guild Tab.
- How to use Enchanting Vellum? - Right Click on Process/Create/Create All button. You create only 1 enchanted vellum, repeat to create more
- How to paste a recipe in the chat? - double click on the recipe list
@bsmorgan
Thanks.
Where can I get the API for the plugin Skillet supports?
@KippG
Sorry, LSW is an abandoned addon and Skillet support for it has been removed. There is support for TradeSkillInfo but it is displayed on the right side in the recipe details frame, not on the left side in the recipe list. I'd consider including (as a plugin) support for other addons but I believe "native" support in Skillet is beyond the scope of the addon.
Any change y'all could integrate the pricing information displayed from LSW?
As it is LSW is displaying errors all the time. I guess it's not going to be updated anymore and that's a great feature.
@Alanassori
Skillet does have support for plugins but that wasn't how Lilsparky's Workshop was integrated. If you figure out how to do what you need, I'll consider including it in the official release. Open a ticket so we can exchange ideas.
Is it possible to add price info on craftable items derived from GoingPrice addon or AH scans I made. Just like Lilsparky's workshop did. If there is a way I can help with issue I like to help. (Does skillet support plugins?)
@bsmorgan Awesome. Thanks for making it. :-)
@Seth2208
A better answer now that 2.71 is released is to use the Ignored Materials List. Right click on War Paints and add it to the list. Skillet then won't try and queue more War Paints if you don't have enough.
@Seth2208
Skillet doesn't currently account for recipes on cooldown. Its not a simple problem to solve but I'll look into it. If you click on "Create" instead of "Create All" it will work better.
Hi, thanks for awesome add-on. But I have a question. I have Inscription and this add-on has issue with War Paints, which I can create once per day. But whenever I want to crate item, which uses War Paints and hit create all, it will queue more than I can make. Despite me using my cooldown for that day. Also it often shows I have more, than I actually have or at least that I can make more than I can, due to daily cooldown, All other items work fine, it just has issue with stuff on daily cooldown for me. Just curious, if there is something I am doing wrong or if it will be fixed?
Looks like Blizzard broke the WW Monk crafting queue and fixed it in patch 6.0.3
@420Bunny
Thank you bsmorgan for your suggestion to use /skillet flushalldata but that has not helped so I have created a ticket
Prior to patch 6.0.2 I had no problem smelting via the queue all/create all/process on my ww panda monk, but now it is not working anymore for that character. My panda just hit lvl 70 (thank you candy buckets!!) and is maxed out at 450 mining, however I have an 82 goblin shaman 489 mining and a 90 ud dk 600 mining that have no problems with the queue all/create all/process function. There are no errors being reported so I have no idea where/why the hang up is occurring. I tried going back as far as file v2.60 and deleting the character specific Skillet SavVar file every time for a fresh install and still the problem exists. So if I have 12 cobalt ores in my inventory and use the queue all/create all function, then select the process button nothing happens...I select the process button again and then just 1 bar is smelted and the rest of the queued items are not processed...I have to select the process button again and then again just 1 bar is processed. I have tried smelting in different areas of the world and still the same issue. I have made sure I do not have any holiday buffs etc., and still the same issue (I thought maybe a buff was ticking and interrupting the smelt process...)
For the mean time I am going to send my ores to either my shaman or dk for processing, but its annoying that I can't do it on my monk anymore especially since I am still leveling my mining on it and will need to process many ores to help in the prof leveling process.
Anyone else out there experiencing the same type of issue or can point out what might be happening? I use too many mods to list, but I do use ArkInventory for bag/item management (maybe a conflict there?....)
LilSparky's Workshop (and Gnomeworks) were follow on projects by a former Skillet author. The current Skillet author's were never involved in either of those projects.
Since both LSW and Gnomeworks have been abandoned, it is unlikely that the information LSW provided to Skillet will be incorporated into Skillet. The addon TradeSkillInfo provides some if the information that LSW provided, but it is presented differently on the (right side with the recipe details).
The addon suite, TradeSkillMaster, provides a complex crafting environment if Skillet is not meeting your crafting needs.
Greetings! Fist of all I would like to Thank you for your addons - I love it and how they interract with each other - you're awesome!
I have only one simple question: would you ever update LilSparky's Workshop (http://www.wowace.com/addons/lil-sparkys-workshop/) or implement same functionality into Skillet?
@bigdady92
Can you provide screenshots? One (working) from your JC and one (failing) from the other toon(s). You can open a ticket if needed to upload the files.
Having a problem with Skillet and Glyphs/Enchanting.
I cannot get the blue icon to display in my crafting prompt to show how many of each I have in the AH. This works fine in JC but not in Skillet. Anything that I am doing wrong?
I have the following mods that handle the AH:
Auctioneer Auctionator Skillet
Various "trade skill" or "item info" addons have published interfaces which can be used to extract the information they collect. Skillet uses the "Plugins" button as one way to interact with these other addons. Currently, Skillet has code for AckisRecipeList, Auctioneer, and TradeSkillInfo. In addition, more integrated code for Lil Sparky's Workshop is still included even though LSW appears to be abandoned.
If you install one (or all) of these addons, the "Plugins" button will do something.
What is the 'Plugins" button in the top left corner for? Clicking it doesn't seem to do anything. Is this for possible plugins for Skillet in the future?
Thanks :)
My changes have been incorporated into the main branch. WoWInterface will follow Curse which will follow WoWAce.
I have been implementing my own enhancement tickets (259 and 276). I'd be happy to have my changes merged into the mainstream code. Send me a PM if you are interested so we can work out the details.
In the meantime, I've posted my 2.45+ at WowInterface. The main Skillet version over there is way out of date but it was the easiest place for me to post my version.
