simpleMinimap

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

simpleMinimap is a module-centric addon for modifying and personalizing one of the center-pieces of any UI - the minimap. the core simpleMinimap mod has these features...

* left-click and drag the minimap anywhere
* hide and move the default minimap buttons
* zoom in and out with the mousewheel
* adjust the minimap's scale, outdoor alpha and strata
* bind a key to toggle the minimap and/or zoom it full-screen
* type '/smm' for a list of commands

simpleMinimap also comes with several modules. these modules can be disabled and/or the files can be deleted if you don't need or want access to the features. they are located in the simpleMinimap/modules folder...

* Autozoom - automatically zoom-out minimap after delay
* Compass - NSEW markings on the minimap
* Coords - small frame that shows map coordinates
* GUI - dropdown setup menus (default is right-click on minimap)
* Movers - allows movement of UI frames attached to the minimap
* Pings - popup frame that shows the minimap pinger's name
* Skins - allows for changing the minimap's skin (square, corner)

theres no trojans, scanned it with avira/f-secure. so its just false positive.

A real shame this mod has been abandoned by the author. I hope someone picks this mod up to continue the work/updates. This is, by far, one of the best minimap altering mods. SexyMap is good, but still lacks some basic functionality that simpleMinimap offers (like strata).

To get rid of errors on startup:
Log out of WoW. Open simpleminimap/movers.lua with wordpad.
Replace all occurences of "QuestWatchFrame" with "WatchFrame" (both w/o the ""). Save and close.
Use CurseProfiler to Clean Saved Variables, or manually delete the simpleminimap.lua in the WTF folder.
Restart WoW.

You can move and resize the Quest Tracker through the Blizz interface options.

You can reset and move the durability frame with MoveAnything (available on curse).

Worked for me.

I had to also replace all occurrences of "QuestWatch" with "WatchFrame"

Note the difference in the first term.

So, you should replace BOTH "QuestWatch" AND "QuestWatchFrame" with "WatchFrame"

I tried that fix, which did bring my movers back, but I am unable to track achievements, it tells me I have too many tracked already, which is one of the problems I was having before. (and no, I'm not tracking anything else)

I assume the taint problem that prevents the vehicle bar to appear if you enter a vehicle in combat persists?

Apparently this is a Blizzard problem, in that their achievement tracker window is too small. If you go into the options and switch on the advanced tracker, you should be able to mouse over the achievement window and manually increase it's size.

Sexymap has been having the same quest tracking issues as this addon. I fixed it by uninstalling the minimap addons (I'd switched to sexymap to see if that worked), going into 'objectives' (in the interface options in game), and checking all but the last (disable mouseover). I then opened my quests, started tracking one, moused over the top of the quest tracking area, right clicked the bar along the top, and unlocked the window. Once I moved it, I put sexymap back on and put my map where I wanted it. It'll probably work for this one, too. I'm planning to try it soon since, while sexymap is prettier, I prefer simpleminimap.

Hmm, not 100% sure, but I think you may need to reinstall the mod from scratch and remove any leftover saved variables file. I've installed this mod, and I have no conflicts and the mod hasn't demonstrated any problems for me. Removal of all minimap options (i.e. trackers, title, zoom, etc.) still works for me.
