Changelog
Simple Item Level
v72 (2026-09-27)
Full Changelog Previous Releases
- Profession equipment had no item levels unless misc items were shown
Profession tools and accessories are not weapons or armor, so they only
showed under "Show on anything else". The profession frame's gear slots
were also skipped. Treat them as equipment, and handle those slots like
the character frame. - Remove a dropdown init guard that never took effect
Nothing set frame.initialize, so the dropdowns initialized on every show.
That is the behaviour we want, because it keeps the selection in sync
after slash command changes. - Guild bank and Inventorian ignored the bags option
The guild bank and Inventorian's cached (offline) items still showed
item levels when bags were turned off. - Classic: ranged items were compared against the main hand
Before Pandaria, ranged weapons, thrown weapons and relics go in the
ranged slot, but the upgrade check used the main hand slot for them.
Thrown weapons and relics were never checked. - Shared ContinuableContainer could drop callbacks
A container keeps only the latest ContinueOnLoad callback. The character
and inspect average levels shared one, so the average could stay hidden
when both loaded at once. ItemIsUpgradeAsync also shared one, so callers
that checked several uncached items got only the last callback. - Slash command could toggle non-boolean settings
"/simpleilvl position" set the position to false, which made every item
button error until the saved variable was fixed. The same applied to the
other position settings and to quality. Only toggle boolean settings. - Forever: inspecting players caused an error
InspectPaperDollFrame_UpdateButtons => InspectPaperDollFrame.UpdateButtons
...but only for Forever, so far.
