Shadowed Unit Frames
SUF focuses on a simple configuration while maintaining the flexibility that most users will care about, preventing unnecessary bloating of the addon that sacrifices performance. While you aren't going to be able to set the health bar to be exactly 3.14 pixels outside of the unit frames, you can change options you actually care about such as bar height, ordering, frame height and so on. To speed up configuration, you can configure multiple units at the same time through the global configuration. For example, if you want to set the height of the Player, Target, Focus and Party frames to 50 then the height of Target's Target, Target's Target of Target, Focus Target to 30 you can easily do this by changing two options instead of having to do it seven times.
However, should you need a little bit of extra configuration do not despair! An advanced option is included that will unlock additional configuration giving finer control over the configuration.
Shadowed Unit Frames in WoW Classic
There is in-development Beta versions available for WoW Classic!
Note that WoW Classic does not provide all the information that you might be used to:
- There is no Focus Frame
- Information about the HP of enemies is not available, and they'll show as 100 HP
- Cast Bars for anyone but the player himself are not available
- Debuffs have no duration information
Some of this data can be restored with additional libraries/addons, but it'll always be guesswork and potentially inaccurate. Shadowed Unit Frames comes bundled with LibClassicDurations for debuff durations. Mob HP can be provided by Real Mob Health, which you need to install manually.
Note on copying your layout from Retail to Classic:
In general you cannot copy your layout between the two versions, since they are quite different, and doing so will result in certain elements exclusive to one version (like Pet Happiness on Classic) not always working properly. There are some provisions in the code that makes copying from Retail to Classic mostly work, use at your own risk - however, never copy a Layout from Classic to Retail, this will absolutely result in the Class-specific power bars and other elements not available on Classic to cease to function.

Anchoring
Are you driven crazy by your party frames not aligning up exactly with your player frames, even if it's only half a pixel off? The anchoring system will let you solve all alignment issues, by allowing you to anchor a frame to another and set a simple offset from the frame it is anchored to, or by manually setting the X/Y position of the frame.
Using the screen shot as an example, if you drag the player frame the other frames will move with the player frame preserving the alignment and spacing. Each frame can still be manually positioned wherever you want, but this gives you a way of easily anchoring and moving frames around without having to use a ruler.
Zone configuration (Disabling options/units by zone type)
Units and modules can be enabled or disabled based on the type of zone you are in. For example, if you want to see party targets and party pets while you are in an arena but nowhere else then you can use the visibility options to enable it only while inside an arena. Modules can also be disabled by zone type, if you want to see party auras while in a raid instance but nowhere else you can disable the module in raid instances only.
Profiles do not have to be swapped and it is all automatic.
Units
Supports unit frames are as follows:
Player: Player, Pet, Pet Target
General: Target, Target of Target, Target of Target of Target, Focus, Focus Target
Party: Party, Party Pets, Party Targets, Party ToT
Raid: Raid, Raid Pet, Main Tank, Main Tank Target, Main Assist, Main Assist Target, Boss, Boss Target, Boss ToT, Main Assist ToT, Main Tank ToT
Arena: Arena, Arena Target, Arena Pets, Arena ToT
Battleground: Battleground, Battleground Target, Battleground Target
Features
- Tags: Includes a simple tagging system that can be customized in virtually any way using Lua, even if something isn't included by default odds are you can make the tags
- Incoming Heals: Supports the Blizzard Events for incoming heal data, no external libraries needed
- Auras: Can be set to only show auras you casted, or can cast on others. Can enlarge auras that you casted, and hide the cooldown ring on the timers of auras you didn't cast as well to make it more obvious which ones you casted and which ones you didn't
- Aura Timers: You will need a mod such as OmniCC to show timers on buffs and debuffs
- Aura Indicators: Display colored squares or icons for certain auras on any unit
- Fader: Fades frames when out of combat and inactive (100% mana/no target)
- Class Power (Eclipse, Holy Power, etc): Supports all of the class power features from Eclipse to Burning Embers.
- Highlighting: Border highlighting of frames based on mousing over them, curable debuffs, aggro or you are targeting/focusing them
- Range Checking: Fades frames out that are out of range of you
- Exportable Layouts: If you have a layout, or your friend has a layout you want to try out you can export/import SUF layouts by going to /suf -> Layout Manager
- Profiles: You can change from any profile to another one without reloading your UI, should you want to use a completely different layout based on zone you can easily switch profiles without hassle
Pretty much all the general unit frame settings are in, health bars, cast bars, power bars, portraits, indicators and so on.
Modules
Basic module support is included, should you be interested in building a module see the documentation on github for more information.

Is there a way to get the graphite.tga from Skada and put it into SuF without having Skada enabled?
Small request:
Can you please add a left vs right distinction for the empty bar similar to that of the health and power bars?
Thank you.
Is there any way to add "raid target" as an option?
You have party target but no raid target. In raids I like to make sure that everyone is attacking the the correct target, and not having raid targets means i have to use another addon that adds who is targeting mob to tooltip - just not as fast to use.
Two things, both related to a druid:
1.) When I have 3D portrait enabled, whenever I am shapeshifted, it's fine (shows my face, nice and large). However, when I go into "caster" form (normal druid form), my 3D portrait is of my entire character in that tiny box, zoomed out. Is there a fix for this?
2.) As a feral druid, I was wondering if you could add Vengeance functionality (in the form of a bar) that could be added to the played frame. It could work similarly to http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/vengeance-status.aspx but would be a part of SUF. I am wondering if this is possible because I noticed you have both Holy Power and Eclipse for paladins and boomkin, respectively.
I don't see any issue regarding this but I am losing my party frames on occassion. Is it being addressed?
SUF is randomly not displaying party pets and/or players pet in the party frame.
Is there by any chance a update on the way for ShadowedUF AuraTracker, also called CC Timers on portraits. I messaged Proditor, and he said other people have taken over the projects, so I should ask the new authors, anyone who can hopefully give me some good news?
There is a bug with Level (Coloured) in Classification, if you target a boss while using this it either displays as -1 or nothing at all, if you just use the regular Level option you get the ?? back, uploaded a few images incase you don't know what im talking about

Any chance anyone can poke at the Bar Growth module? I have been poking at it and I think I have it narrowed down to one section of the code that must have changed once 4.0 hit (I think it has to do with the incoming heals now using blizzard's code), problem is I am kind of poking at the dark and am not really sure how the incHeal function changed in SUF to cause the bar growth to affect the incHeal graphic being brought to the top of the frame instead of "below" where it belongs.
Edit: after some more thought it might be the two "order = 3" in the function "Bars:OnConfigurationLoad()" definition. but the servers are currently down and I cant test it out.
I found similag bug (see comment 453).
I open configuration menu and change some settings. After closed configuration some speels to my actionbar is not selectable (maybe invisible frame overlap?).
Opened the configuration again and unlock frame and move the raid frames, the bug still disappear.
Very nice and simple add-one. I like the simplicity, it's very nice and beautiful. Can i have an help, with some configuration: how can i put on the player bar on the experience bar the value for the experience, the experience left and rested xp (i know that i can see that values on the tool tip under the experience bar)?
Keep going with your excellent work.
I'm now a user of your addon.
Been chugging through SuFs config menu all day and i have to ask. Is there any way to make debuffs on target frame to start at "top right" but to grow to the left and work its way down(newer spells go to the left untill frame ends then it starts filling under the first debuff row?
The mangle, feral fearie fire and lacerates are mine and are on top right where debuffs starts(the debuff row starts just over the portrait and when the debuffs become enough to cross the buffs they migrate up one row instead and start refill the row below). http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh275/Crusherix/WoWScrnShot_100410_205019.jpg Like this, buffs on target starts from "top left" and grows to the right which is possible with SuF. But the debuff option shown here doesn't unless i've missed it and it would be awesome to have it again if possible.
Another example(you can see the mindflays etc to clarify how/where the debuff row grow) http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh275/Crusherix/WoWScrnShot_100410_204948.jpg
Another suggestion: What about adding to the Buff/Debuff settings in addition to "Only show my buffs/Debuffs", "only show curable buffs/Debuffs" an option for "only show debuffs caused by an unfriendly target" (so that I would see the Debuffs on the tank, but not the Debuffs caused by the raid) or vice versa. Would something like that be possible?

For all only reading here:
Aura Indicators has been updated for 4.0 on WoWAce and Curse.
@Stalksta
The Shadowed Aura Indicators module looks like it can give you what you need.
With the Auras it does not seem to be possible to put the Debuff/Buff in the "Center" of the raidframes, only to the left, right, top, bottom. Personally I like a raidframe design where the frames are very close to each other. Currently if I have it like this:
x1 x2 x3 x4 x5 x6 x7 x8 x9 x10
I will see a debuff player "x1" gets on top of the frame of player "x6". What I would prefer if it would be on top of player x1's bar ("CENTER"). With ShadowUnitFrames_Indicators this is possible, but the Indicators only allow specialized Debuffs to be shown not "any debuffs I can cure" (my usual setup is to use the Indicators for bossfights, and the "normal" Aura settings for any debuffs which for example can happen with trashmobs, so that I do not have to configure the Indicators for every possible debuff).
Can "Center" be added?
Thanks.
As a priest I want to show the following buff/debuffs no raid frames.
I can't seem to be able to get curable buffs & weakened souls as the options are ONLY curable buffs or ONLY castable debuffs.
Am I missing something here or is this something that is not currently supported (in which case I'll open a ticket)
@Cosanoztra They are fully working. You may have to go to the "General" on the left side, then enable "Advanced". That should enable everything.
are raid frames working to the fullest yet? i reinstalled wow completely on a new hard drive, installed the newest SUF, and i cannot change the layout like the column width/height spacing and etc
