As for 8.3 patch, Shadowed Unit Frames causes some performance issues like game freezing for several minutes and crashes to desktop, maybe it's just my shitty pc but i tested only with SUF activated and it's the only addon i have issues with

Same issue since 8.3 Only addon that created a problem.

Same, the game freezes for several seconds (usually 4-6 sec, at least once in every single minute) then the game either continues or crashing to desktop. I've also localized this issue exclusively to SUF.

Same here. Latest version SUF installed. Since 8.3 game freezes every a few minutes, in half of the cases game crashes after several seconds of freeze with "Out of memory" exception. All gets fine when I remove SUF from loaded AddOns. I tried to disable all AddOns except SUF and still I've got freezes and crashes, so I am certain that the problem is in SUF.

Please fix it, I am really used to play with SUF and I don't want to either switch to something else nor play with native Blizz unit frames.

Beside this, thank you for great job on this AddOn!

Edit: I also got "Out of Memory" crash rarely.

Testing Unit Frame addons furthermore, it seems like other Unitframe addons also produce the same bug with lesser intensity. I've tried Z-perl, X-perl, Pitbull sofar and they gave the same bug after using for some time. Pitbull is marked as updated to 8.3 but it still bugs however.

The issue is caused by the 3D portrait, not related to this specific addon as NPCScan's Target Frames cause the lag as well.

But disabling the 3D Portrait on my SUF Frames where I had them enabled fixed the lag issues for me.

Update: Had to disable the 3D Portraits everywhere and I still get the freeze when the Blizzard UI 3D Portraits pops up (World Quest Introduction for example).

Update 2: Issue is not related to this addon specifically. Switching the Graphics API to "DirectX 11 Legacy" fixed the freezes for me, even with 3D Portraits enabled anywhere. Option is found in the Advanced Settings Tab, System Options of WoW itself.

Having the same issues since patch day (constant freezes with huge FPS drop / crash to desktop) disabled the addon and no more trouble, hope it gets fixed soon.

I'm having the same issue. It freezes the game for up to approximately 20 seconds. It happens mostly when going from one area to another, for example flying from Tradewinds Market to Boralus Harbour behind the ships, but not exclusively. It's happened in the middle of killing a rare as well.

It appears to be 100% related to 3D portraits. I've tried turning 3d portraits on/off individually for player, party, target, focus, etc. If 3D is on in any category, it starts to cause crashes. As soon as I've gone to 2D portraits the crashing issue stops, regardless of any game graphics settings.
