Talented adds spec templates to the Talent UI.

Talented 3

Talented is getting a large update for wow 4. It will no longer replace the default UI but add a new Tab to it, with most of the previous functionality present.

There is an alpha release available on wowace. It's still missing some major parts, but it should give you an idea of the new interface.

Talented_Loader is no longer needed (and in fact will create problems if left installed, so remove it at once).

Update feature List

Create and view templates for all classes and all pet types.
Set a specific template as a target, and see it when you're spending your next talent point on level up.
Apply complete templates with a single click, after a talent wipe.
Hunters can view the spec of their pet and apply templates to them.
Share your current build with other, or any template you've made.
Import templates directly from the Blizzard Talent calculator, wowhead or wowdb.
Export templates as URL to wowhead, wowdb or the Blizzard Talent calculator.
Allow pet templates to be imported from and export to wowhead pet calculator.
Inspection of other characters will also inspect their alternate spec, if they have one.
A macro command /talented apply <template> allows to automatically apply a template based on its name.

At this point DrDamage only functions as a glorified hit cap mod. It has never been fully updated to work with 3.x and it looks like the project has been scrapped, as neither of the authors have logged in since early December. I can confirm that both DrDamage and the plugin functionality are broken with or without Talented.

The big thing is that you can set your talent points and save them in templates, then auto-apply those templates when you want to unlearn your talents. It saves a lot of time switching back and forth between wowhead or some other talent build site, and you can change those templates whenever.

Talented r403 deleted the WTF in the configuration file to reinstall from a clean state, but the character of a particular class(ex. warlock), an error message that the new additions to output. Please offer a solution. (EnUS.lua of the 106 line of output is the message.)

Yes I had r403 and I did a second update and still got the error so I did a complete new install and that fixed it. Thank you for a great mod and all you time.

@Crazytoo: check that you really have r403, as this version is a specific fix for the bug you report, and I have verified that it fixed that bug.

Lately (since the super minor 3.0.8 patch) I've been experiencing a tooltip-looking box with no text in it floating on my screen. It would show up after clicking on item/tradskill links after a while, though it would almost never be the first one clicked on. I recently found out it seems to be anchored to the top left of the talented frame. Can't figure out for the life of me what's causing it, though it changes size when I mouse over talents in the talented frame. It's easy to move off the screen, at least.

It's a minor annoyance that I'd love to see fixed or at least told what causes it, but even then it's more than worth living with seeing as how awesome this mod is.

Please, could you try to check if this occurs with Talented only.

I suspect that another addon is trying to update or show the tooltip that Talented creates. If so, you should check any addon you may have installed that add information to tooltips to see if disabling it fixes the issue.

Once you have found the cause, you probably should report it to the addon author.

I have discovered that this problem is caused buy combining use with the tooltip subaddons of auctioneer suite, I don't know if this was also a problem in the pre 3.0.8 patches as i discovered this great addon in 3.0.8.

NVM, upon further tinkering, even without ANY other addons, this problem still persists.

But I have figured out how to replicate this issue.

1. Open and then close the talented UI
2. Open a link to an ITEM from trade chat or something, BAM!!! There it is..., occasionally doesn't do it but 98% of time it pops up.

I would tinker around with code, but i dont know LUA, and dont feel like learning it ATM.

Fun Note: once the tooltip window pops up, reopen the talented UI and hover over your talents and the size of the tooltip changes.

It appears to be happening when I have Talented and Cowtip loaded, but not when Talented alone is loaded. If both mods are loaded, clicking an item link in chat will cause the box to appear. Then when hovering over icons in Talented, the black box stays where it is but resizes to the same size as the Talented icon tooltips. I've notified ckknight (the cowtip author) of this as well. No idea which mod is "causing" the problem.

I updated both Talented and Talented_Data to their latest versions this morning - I was then unable to log in any of the three characters I had in Dalaran, though all other characters would log in fine. As soon as I reverted Talented and Talented_Data back to the previous version, I was able to log in to Dalaran again.

I imagine the latest versions were generating some kind of traffic that, coupled with the already-high demands of Dalaran, were causing my characters to be disconnected? Not sure, but reverting was the only way I was able to log in.

Fantastic AddOn btw :) But I'll be sticking with my 'old' versions until I get the all clear.

You probably just had some server issue at the time you installed the latest version. I'm confident you can install the latest version and still connect to the server.

Talented does not by itself generate any client-server traffic.
