Description

LoggerHead is a an automated combat log enabler. It allows you to select via a simple GUI interface which Zones and Instances to automatically enable for logging. LoggerHead has a LDB module for those running a Data Display. Left Click toggles logging. Right Click opens configuration screen. Enjoy.

Notes

Development on Github:Source, releases, and issue tracker are now on Github.

Classic support: Classic (and Classic TBC) are not supported. It might work, but it probably won't. Contributions to add support are welcome!

New in version 4: Loggerhead dynamically builds dungeon and raid information instead of relying on external libraries. What this means is that your configuration menu will *ONLY* show instances and difficulties that you have discovered/entered. Better yet, it also means that LoggerHead will work with new dungeons and raids without having to be updated!!!

I have the addon, but I don't have a minimap icon, or anything I can click. The only options I see are in the interface tab in the game menu. In there I do not see the toggle log on and off options.

Would it be possible to differentiate between heroic and non-heroic versions of instances? For example, I'd like to automatically enable logging for Heroic Naxxramas, but not have it enabled for Non-Heroic Naxxramas.

FYI, I develop this mod exclusively at WoWAce. There has been a version there that supports WotLK zones since November 5th. So, please do not declare this mod dead or post links to other sites.

Wowace is not for distribution to users. It's for development. They don't have to bandwidth to support large-scale distribution, thus the entire deal with Curse.

That said, if you want us to bookmark some wowace.com URL and check it for updates, put it in the project description and we can do it. But Wowace might not be happy.

The LDB type should be "data source" not "launcher". Launchers have no text and for LDB displays that go with the specification, enabled/disabled text does not show. Can you please fix?

the author doesn't seem to be updating it at curse/wowace anymore (s)he seems to be updating it only at wowinterface. here is the most up to date Version 3.0.83 Date: 12-20-2008 01:35 PM

I've modified the current version to include all the Wrath of the Lich King zones/instances. You can download this version here:

Non-English localizations are not included.

Note that I am not the original author of this addon, just making a quick fix for everyone until there is an official WotLK update.

I get following error with 3.0.80 (german wow client)

Please update this addon for WotLK! It is inconvenient to be unable to enable/disable zones via a menu as I have accidentally Enabled some zones that I don't want to keep a log of....

Has this been updated for Wrath Instances yet?
If not, Is there a way to force logging for new instances? (Example: NAXX!)

You can enable: Ask for zone/instance

and then enable when entering naxx

Same. I thought I remember reading that this was dependent on a library update of some kind, but now I don't see it anywhere.

LoggerHead now uses LibDataBroker as a configuration launcher and information display. You'll need to use and add-on such as Fortress or StatBlockCore.

If you just want to access LoggerHead's configuration menu, simply use the built in Blizzard interface. Select the add-on tab and locate LoggerHead in the list.

Maybe I’m missing something here or one of my other addons is blocking this from working. Pre 3.0 all I did was download this and throw it in the addon folder like any other, make sure it was on the addon list, then in game type /loggerhead and set it up. Post 3.0 I do the same thing but it will not pop up nor is it an option in the interface/addon section to turn it on. If in game I list addons that are running it is there.
