HandyNotes

Table of Contents

Handy Notes for your maps. This addon is intended to be a small and simple framework for showing notes on your map.

Use /handynotes to access options.

You can add notes to the maps in 3 ways:

Alt-RightClick on the world map to add a note.
Use "/hnnew" without the quotes to add a note at your current location.
Use "/hnnew x,y" without the quotes to add a note at location x,y on your current zone's map.

Okay, I've been looking at the Handynotes Addon, and I must say, I'm extremely interested and am wanting to try it out. I do have a few questions, if you could help me out :)

I know you make the main & flight masters...I was wondering if you could post screenshots?

Also, and I'm going to be asking this of the other two "additions" to this addon that I like (vendors/trainers sister project) what I should uncheck in my cartographer (regular, not 3) so that they are able to work side by side. Thanks! ^_^

Ok I might be a bit retarded, not quite sure yet. But I just dled this mod and at first it appeared to be working extremely well, but where it shows me I have quests, I dont. And I know that I have completed a few that it already has listed...any advice?

I'm having issues with adding a note....when i click alt right click the handy notes panel pops under the map.

I'd like to also request the ability to toggle all notes off the minimap. As it is I have to /handynotes and disable the addon to see quest givers and whatnot.

hi

i'm working on HandyNotes_OpenPVP ( http://my.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/handynotes_openpvp.aspx ) and other addons like this one.
first i want to thanks yuu for handynotes, its a nice thing for me to realise my addon-ideas.

so i want you to ask if you can implement follow features for plugins:
- options to disable the showing of handynotes from a plugin on the minimap and or worldmap
- options to spezific what kinde of notes from a plugin are showed, of course this has to specific the plugin, somting like a filter.

Being able to toggle the minimap icons would be a blessing. One of the problems I have is that the icons will overlap my quest icons so it's easy to lose where new quests are or where quests need to be turned in. Some areas (like the inn in honor hold) I have to just delete all my notes so i can find where the quest is.

Either that or is it possible to change the strata level so the icons appear 'under' the quest icons? I doubt it though.

That's a HandyNotes_Directions error. Not a HandyNotes one. Contact appropriate author instead.

As for HandyNotes_FlightMasters, it hasn't been updated to include Northrend data yet.

When I alt+click to add a note, it appears beneath the Blizzard map, you have to click then close the map to be able to add a note.

somebody make a mining/herbing/gas cloud/fishing etc gathering plugin for this. the cartographer ones are discontinued, i hacked mining and fishing to show nodes in northrend with generic icons but herbing and gas cloud are incomplete, but i'd rathor stop hacking discontinued addons and use something that's actively maintained :)
